你把我們交出，如同作食物的羊；你又把我們打散在列國中。你把你的子民廉價賣掉，並沒有從他們的售價多獲利益。

我默然不語，連好話也不出口，我的苦痛就加劇了。

正如經上所記：「為你的緣故，我們終日被置於死地，被看為要宰殺的羊。」

我默然無聲，也不開口，因為這都是你所做的。

第二天，約翰看見耶穌向他走來，就說：「看哪，神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的！

於是大祭司就站起來，問耶穌：「對這些人控告你的事，你什麼都不回應嗎？」耶穌卻沉默不語。大祭司又對他說：「我命令你指著永生的神起誓，告訴我們你是不是基督——神的兒子？」

而是憑著那像羔羊一樣毫無瑕疵、毫無玷汙的基督寶血。

那時，耶穌說：「父啊，赦免他們！因為他們不知道自己在做什麼。」士兵們抽籤分了他的衣服。

這是為要應驗耶穌說過的話：「你所賜給我的人，我一個也沒有丟失。」西門彼得帶著一把刀。他拔出刀來，向大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他的右耳。那奴僕的名字是馬勒古。耶穌就對彼得說：「把刀收回鞘裡！父所賜給我的杯，我難道能不喝嗎？」
