因為我們眾人都必須在基督的審判臺前顯露出來，叫各人、照他所習行的、或好或壞、得回由身體所作的事。

你們呢、反倒侮辱窮人。豈不是富足人壓制你們，拖你們上法庭麼？

迦流做亞該亞院省長的時候，猶太人同心合意地起來攻擊保羅，帶他到審判臺前，說：『這個人煽動人違背律法地敬拜上帝。』保羅剛要開口，迦流就對猶太人說：『猶太人哪！如果是冤枉事或奸惡的匪類行為，按理我該耐心聽你們；但既是關於言論、名目、和你們自己的律法等問題，你們自理罷！我沒有意思要審判這些事。』就把他們從審判臺前攆走。眾人拉住了會堂管事所提尼，在審判臺前擊打；這些事迦流都不管。
