Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what are we to do?”

When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed.

The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what was being said by Philip, as they heard and saw the signs which he was performing.For in the case of many who had unclean spirits, they were coming out of them shouting with a loud voice; and many who had been paralyzed or limped on crutches were healed.So there was much rejoicing in that city.

and you did not despise that which was a trial to you in my bodily condition, nor express contempt, but you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus Himself.Where then is that sense of blessing you had? For I testify about you that, if possible, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.

At this time Peter stood up among the brothers and sisters( a group of about 120 people was there together), and said,

Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

Simon responded and said,“ Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.”And when they had done this, they caught a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to tear;so they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats, to the point that they were sinking.

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father.

May there be abundance of grain on the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like the vegetation of the earth.May his name endure forever; May his name produce descendants as long as the sun shines; And may people wish blessings on themselves by him; May all nations call him blessed.

You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word during great affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

“ The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells everything that he has, and buys that field.“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold everything that he had and bought it.
