又孰能施惠於主、而責望其報耶？

蓋吾人莫不生乎其中、行乎其中、而止乎其中也。爾族之詩人有云：「吁嗟吾族、亦帝之裔；」此之謂也。

凡屬受造。仰主資生。按時給食。自有權衡。彼之所受。莫非主恩。主恩不匱。亦富亦均。主但掩顏。庶類逐塵。一經溫昫。大地回春。

叮嚀斯世富人、不可驕傲；財富無常、未足恃也。所可恃者、惟天主耳。天主慨然以萬物賜予吾人、俾得充量享受者、

吾心白吾主。所天惟有汝。方寸無他好。懷主以為寶。

庶克成爾天父之子女。蓋天父使旭日上升、兼照良莠；沛然降霖、亦無間乎義與不義也。

「予愛仁慈、不愛祭祀；」爾其歸而玩索斯語之義。蓋予之來、非召義者、惟召罪人耳。』

然亦時錫甘霖、以登五穀、俾年豐物阜、萬姓齊歡；凡此天恩、亦天主之所以自證也。』
