吾意異邦人之歸順天主者、吾人不當再強其所難；

“所以据我的意见，不可难为那归服神的外邦人；

所以，我的意见是不可难为那归向上帝的外邦人；

所以，我的意见是不可难为那归向神的外邦人；

“所以，我认为不应该为难那些信上帝的外族人。

“所以我认为不可难为这些归服神的外族人，

因此，我判定不可为难那些归向神的外邦人，

因此，我判定不可為難那些歸向神的外邦人，

故我擬自異邦歸上帝者、勿擾之、

即我所見、異邦人歸上帝者、不可擾之、

故我意異邦人歸主者、不可擾之、

“ It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

“ Now here is my decision. We should not make it hard for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God,

“ And so my judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

Therefore, in my judgment, we should not cause difficulties for those among the Gentiles who turn to God,

Therefore, it is my judgment that we do not cause trouble for those from the Gentiles who are turning to God,

Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God,

Wherefore my judgment is, that we trouble not them that from among the Gentiles turn to God;

Therefore, in my judgment, we should not cause difficulties for those among the Gentiles who turn to God,

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

“ Therefore I conclude that we should not cause extra difficulty for those among the Gentiles who are turning to God,

Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,

當知聖神與吾曹咸不欲復以無謂之重負、加諸爾身、

近聞有人由此前來、以言擾爾、搖惑爾心、此輩實未受吾儕之命、

夫福音豈有二哉？特有人予爾攪亂、而欲混淆基督之福音耳。雖然、即在吾儕本人、或自天降臨之天神、苟其所傳於爾之福音、有異乎吾儕嚮所傳授者、皆宜服咒咀也。吾儕前已言之、茲予重復言之、倘有人授爾等以福音、異乎爾等嚮之所受者、則斯人之服咒咀也必矣。吾豈欲迎合世俗乎？抑求悅於天主乎？吾又焉能閹然而媚世乎？閹然媚世、則不得為基督之僕矣。

先於大馬士革、繼於耶路撒冷及猶太全境、爰及異邦、勸人幡然悔改、歸向天主、且實踐聖道、以稱悔改之心。

外間頗有人嘖嘖稱道吾儕如何獲爾之心、爾等如何拋棄偶像、歸依聖教、兢兢業業、奉事永生真實之天主、

今爾何為拂逆天主、而欲以吾列祖及吾儕所不堪負荷之軛、加諸信徒之項乎？

惟時頗有偽兄弟者、私自混入同道、蓄意偵伺吾人托庇耶穌基督所享之自由、欲引吾人復墮奴隸之域。

兄弟乎、苟我今猶鼓吹割禮、則何為尚受排擯耶？夫然則十字架亦不當復被視為眼中釘矣。嗟夫、彼以割禮為號召、而圖搖動爾之信心者、曷不進而自閹其身乎？
