奉神旨意作基督耶稣使徒的保罗和兄弟提摩太，写信给在哥林多神的教会，并亚该亚遍处的众圣徒。

因为我父的意思是叫一切见子而信的人得永生，并且在末日我要叫他复活。”

这奥秘就是外邦人在基督耶稣里，藉着福音，得以同为后嗣，同为一体，同蒙应许。

盼望那无谎言的神在万古之先所应许的永生，

为此，他作了新约的中保，既然受死赎了人在前约之时所犯的罪过，便叫蒙召之人得着所应许永远的产业。

你们查考圣经，因你们以为内中有永生；给我作见证的就是这经。然而，你们不肯到我这里来得生命。

认识你独一的真神，并且认识你所差来的耶稣基督，这就是永生。

吃我肉、喝我血的人就有永生，在末日我要叫他复活。

神的神能已将一切关乎生命和虔敬的事赐给我们，皆因我们认识那用自己荣耀和美德召我们的主。因此，他已将又宝贵又极大的应许赐给我们，叫我们既脱离世上从情欲来的败坏，就得与神的性情有份。

我又赐给他们永生；他们永不灭亡，谁也不能从我手里把他们夺去。

奉神旨意，蒙召作耶稣基督使徒的保罗，同兄弟所提尼，

就如罪作王叫人死；照样，恩典也藉着义作王，叫人因我们的主耶稣基督得永生。

我实实在在地告诉你们，那听我话、又信差我来者的，就有永生；不至于定罪，是已经出死入生了。

主所应许我们的就是永生。

为自己积成美好的根基，预备将来，叫他们持定那真正的生命。

神的应许，不论有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉着他也都是实在的，叫神因我们得荣耀。

因为罪的工价乃是死；惟有神的恩赐，在我们的主基督耶稣里，乃是永生。

耶稣基督的仆人保罗，奉召为使徒，特派传神的福音。
