還派軍駐守亞蘭國的大馬士革，亞蘭人臣服大衛，向他進貢。耶和華使大衛無往而不勝。

那時以東沒有王，由總督治理。

保護以色列的不打盹也不睡覺。耶和華保護你，在你身邊蔭庇你。白天太陽不會傷你，夜間月亮不會害你。耶和華必使你免受災害，保護你的性命。不論你出或入，耶和華都會保護你，從現在直到永遠。
