爾代掃羅為王、今耶和華將掃羅家之血、悉歸於爾、以此國付於爾子押沙龍、爾流血之人、自取其禍也、

爾戮掃羅全家、移其國祚、今耶和華已報其仇、以爾國位、與子押沙龍、惟爾殘忍、自取咎戾。

爾殘殺掃羅家、奪其國、代之為王、今主報復爾、以國賜爾子押沙龍、爾乃殘忍之人、今遭惡報、

The Lord has repaid you for all the blood you shed in the household of Saul, in whose place you have reigned. The Lord has given the kingdom into the hands of your son Absalom. You have come to ruin because you are a murderer!”

You spilled the blood of a lot of people in Saul’s family. You took over his kingdom. Now the Lord is paying you back. He has handed the kingdom over to your son Absalom. You have been destroyed because you are a murderer!”

The Lord has avenged on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the Lord has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. See, your evil is on you, for you are a man of blood.”

“ The Lord is paying you back for all the bloodshed in Saul’s clan. You stole his throne, and now the Lord has given it to your son Absalom. At last you will taste some of your own medicine, for you are a murderer!”

The LORD has paid you back for all the blood of the house of Saul in whose place you became king, and the LORD has handed the kingdom over to your son Absalom. Look, you are in trouble because you’re a man of bloodshed!”

The LORD has punished you for all the spilled blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you rule. Now the LORD has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. Disaster has overtaken you, for you are a man of bloodshed!”

Yahweh has returned on you all the blood of Saul’s house, in whose place you have reigned! Yahweh has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son! Behold, you are caught by your own mischief, because you are a man of blood!”

大衛對他說：“你流人血的罪要歸到自己的頭上，因為你親口作證指控自己說：‘我殺了耶和華的受膏者。’”

這樣，神報應了亞比米勒向他父親所行的惡事，就是他殺了自己的兄弟七十個人。神也把示劍人的一切惡事，都報應在他們的頭上；耶路．巴力的兒子約坦的咒詛，也歸到他們身上。

耶和華必使約押流無辜人的血的罪歸到他自己頭上，因為他擊殺了兩個比他又公義又良善的人，就是用刀殺了以色列的元帥尼珥的兒子押尼珥，和猶大的元帥益帖的兒子亞瑪撒，這事我的父親大衛一點都不知道。願流這二人的血的罪歸到約押和他後裔的頭上，直到永遠；但大衛和他的後裔，他的家和他的國卻要從耶和華那裡得享平安，直到永遠。”

事後大衛聽到了，就說：“關於尼珥的兒子押尼珥的血案，我和我的國家，在耶和華面前永遠是無辜的。願這流人血的罪歸到約押的頭上和他父親的全家！又願約押家不斷有患血漏病的、長痲風的、拿拐杖的、倒斃在劍下的和缺乏糧食的。”

這是要報復對耶路．巴力七十個兒子的暴行，把流他們血的罪歸到他們的兄弟亞比米勒身上，就是那殺害他們的；也歸到示劍人身上，就是那些幫助亞比米勒去殺他自己的兄弟的。

因為他們曾流聖徒和先知的血，現在你給他們血喝，這是他們該受的。”

把他們交在基遍人的手裡。基遍人就在山上耶和華面前把他們處決，這七人就一同倒斃了。他們被處死的時候，正是收穫季節之初，就是開始收割大麥的時候。

當地的人看見那條蛇懸在他手上，就彼此說：“這個人一定是兇手，雖然從海裡脫險，天理也不容他活著！”但是保羅卻把那條蛇抖在火裡，自己一點也沒有受傷。

把伊施波設的頭帶到希伯崙去見大衛，對王說：“你的仇敵掃羅過去常常尋索你的命。看哪！這是他兒子伊施波設的頭。今天耶和華在掃羅和他後裔的身上為我主我王報了仇了。”大衛回答比錄人臨門的兒子利甲和他的兄弟巴拿，說：“我指著那曾救贖我的命脫離一切患難的永活的耶和華起誓：從前有人向我報信說：‘看哪！掃羅死了。’他自以為是報好消息，我卻抓住他，把他殺在洗革拉，這就是我給他作報好消息的酬報。何況惡人在義人的家裡，把義人殺在床上。現在我怎能不從你們手中追討流他血的罪，把你們從這世上除滅呢？”於是，大衛吩咐年輕人把他們殺了，並且砍斷他們的手腳，把身體掛在希伯崙的水池旁邊；卻把伊施波設的頭拿去，埋葬在希伯崙押尼珥的墳墓裡。

尊貴的人啊！你們把我的榮耀變為羞辱，要到幾時呢？你們喜愛虛妄，追求虛謊，要到幾時呢？（細拉）

有很多人議論我說：“他從神那裡得不到救助。”（細拉）
