既識道矣、猶棄所受之聖命、孰若不識道義之為美、

既識義道、竟背所受之聖命、莫若不識之為美、

蓋與其知道而背命、孰若初未聞道之為愈乎？

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

Suppose they had not known the way of godliness. This would have been better than to know godliness and then turn away from it. The way of godliness is the sacred command passed on to them.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

义人若弃善行恶，与恶人同流合污，这人岂能活着？他从前的义行不会被记念，他必因自己的背信和罪恶而灭亡。

所以人若知道善而不去行，就是犯罪。

有些人曾蒙上帝光照，尝过天赐恩典的滋味，有份于圣灵，尝过上帝之道的甘美，领悟到永世的权能，却背弃了真道，让他们重新悔改是不可能的。因为他们等于把上帝的儿子重新钉在十字架上，使祂再度公开受辱。

明知主人的意思却不准备，也不遵行主人吩咐的仆人，必受更重的责打。

如果一个义人偏离正道、犯罪作恶，我会使他跌倒，他必死亡。如果你不告诫他，他必死在罪恶之中，他以前的义行也不会被记念，而我要追究你的责任。

其实律法是圣洁的，诫命也是圣洁、公义、良善的。

耶稣说：“如果你们是瞎眼的，就没有罪了。但现在你们自称看得见，所以你们的罪还在。”

铲除离弃我、不寻求我、不求问我的人。”

我如果没有来教导他们，他们就没有罪了，但现在他们的罪无可推诿。

白发是荣耀的冠冕，行为公义方能得到。

你们都知道我们靠着主耶稣传给你们的诫命。

因为约翰来指示你们当行的正路，你们不信他，但税吏和娼妓信了。你们亲眼看见了这些事，竟然还是执迷不悟，不肯信他。

他们满口恶言谎话，毫无智慧和善行。他们躺在床上盘算作恶，执意走罪恶的道路，无恶不作。

公义的道上有生命，公义的路上无死亡。

我看见她玷污了自己，与姐姐的行径如出一辙。

耶和华必把那些偏行恶道的人与作恶的人一同赶走。愿平安临到以色列。

“迦百农啊，你将被提升到天上吗？不！你将被打落到阴间。因为若把在你那里所行的神迹行在所多玛，它肯定会存留到今天。所以我告诉你们，在审判之日，你们将比所多玛受更重的刑罚！”
