人既因識主救者耶穌基督、得脫世污、若復為其所累所勝、則後患尤劇於前、

如有人知救主耶穌基督道、不為污世所囿、復因憧擾而受陷、則其人之後患、較先時尤劇、

彼因識吾主救主耶穌基督、而得脫於世污、後復為世污所擾所服、則其後患較前尤甚、

夫既因認識吾主耶穌基督、而脫濁世之習氣、今復重入羅網、從此休矣！且其晚節必有較前更醜者焉。

If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.

因为我们知道了真理以后，若仍然故意犯罪，就再没有赎罪祭了，只有可怕的审判和烧灭敌对者的烈火等候我们。

有些人曾蒙上帝光照，尝过天赐恩典的滋味，有份于圣灵，尝过上帝之道的甘美，领悟到永世的权能，却背弃了真道，让他们重新悔改是不可能的。因为他们等于把上帝的儿子重新钉在十字架上，使祂再度公开受辱。一块经常受到雨水滋润的田地若为耕种的人长出庄稼来，就蒙上帝赐福；若长出来的尽是荆棘和蒺藜，就毫无价值，它会面临被咒诅的危险，最后必遭焚烧。

他们的神就是自己的肚腹，他们以自己的羞耻为荣，只想着地上的事，他们的结局是灭亡。

如果他们有智慧，就能明白这一切、知道自己的结局。

“有个污鬼离开了它以前所附的人，在干旱无水之地四处游荡，寻找安歇之处，却没有找到。于是它说，‘我要回到老地方。’它回去后，看见里面打扫得又干净又整齐，就去带来了七个比自己更邪恶的鬼一起住在那里。那人的下场比从前更惨了。”

借此，祂已将既宝贵又伟大的应许赏给了我们，使我们脱离世上私欲带来的败坏，能够有份于上帝的性情。

他们口出狂言，空话连篇，以肉体的邪情私欲为饵，诱惑那些刚刚摆脱了荒谬生活的人。

愿你们因认识上帝和我们主耶稣而得到丰富的恩典和平安！
