All the Levites who were musicians— Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun and their sons and relatives— stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.

王又派利未人在耶和华殿中敲钹，鼓瑟，弹琴，乃照大卫和他先见迦得，并先知拿单所吩咐的，就是耶和华藉先知所吩咐的。

供职的人和他们的子孙记在下面：

要用角声赞美他，鼓瑟弹琴赞美他！击鼓跳舞赞美他！用丝弦的乐器和箫的声音赞美他！用大响的钹赞美他！用高声的钹赞美他！

希幔的族兄亚萨是比利家的儿子，亚萨在希幔右边供职。比利家是示米亚的儿子；

歌唱的行在前，作乐的随在后，都在击鼓的童女中间。

嫩的儿子约书亚召了祭司来，吩咐他们说：“你们抬起约柜来，要有七个祭司拿七个羊角走在耶和华的约柜前”；又对百姓说：“你们前去绕城，带兵器的要走在耶和华的约柜前。”约书亚对百姓说完了话，七个祭司拿七个羊角走在耶和华面前吹角；耶和华的约柜在他们后面跟随。带兵器的走在吹角的祭司前面，后队随着约柜行。祭司一面走一面吹。约书亚吩咐百姓说：“你们不可呼喊，不可出声，连一句话也不可出你们的口，等到我吩咐你们呼喊的日子，那时才可以呼喊。”这样，他使耶和华的约柜绕城，把城绕了一次；众人回到营里，就在营里住宿。约书亚清早起来，祭司又抬起耶和华的约柜。七个祭司拿七个羊角在耶和华的约柜前，时常行走吹角；带兵器的在他们前面走，后队随着耶和华的约柜行。祭司一面走一面吹。第二日，众人把城绕了一次，就回营里去。六日都是这样行。第七日清早，黎明的时候，他们起来，照样绕城七次；惟独这日把城绕了七次。到了第七次，祭司吹角的时候，约书亚吩咐百姓说：“呼喊吧，因为耶和华已经把城交给你们了！这城和其中所有的都要在耶和华面前毁灭；只有妓女喇合与她家中所有的可以存活，因为她隐藏了我们所打发的使者。至于你们，务要谨慎，不可取那当灭的物，恐怕你们取了那当灭的物就连累以色列的全营，使全营受咒诅。惟有金子、银子，和铜铁的器皿都要归耶和华为圣，必入耶和华的库中。”于是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。百姓听见角声，便大声呼喊，城墙就塌陷，百姓便上去进城，各人往前直上，将城夺取；

与他们一同被派的有希幔、耶杜顿，和其余被选名字录在册上的，称谢耶和华，因他的慈爱永远长存。希幔、耶杜顿同着他们吹号、敲钹，大发响声，并用别的乐器随着歌颂神。耶杜顿的子孙作守门的。

大卫和抬约柜的利未人，并歌唱人的首领基拿尼雅，以及歌唱的人，都穿着细麻布的外袍；大卫另外穿着细麻布的以弗得。

那掌管七灾的七位天使从殿中出来，穿着洁白光明的细麻衣，胸间束着金带。

大卫吩咐利未人的族长，派他们歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和钹作乐，欢欢喜喜地大声歌颂。于是利未人派约珥的儿子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的儿子亚萨，并他们族弟兄米拉利子孙里古沙雅的儿子以探。其次还有他们的弟兄撒迦利雅、便雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、比拿雅、玛西雅、玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅，并守门的俄别以东和耶利。这样，派歌唱的希幔、亚萨、以探敲铜钹，大发响声；派撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、玛西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，调用女音；又派玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅、俄别以东、耶利、亚撒西雅领首弹琴，调用第八。利未人的族长基拿尼雅是歌唱人的首领，又教训人歌唱，因为他精通此事。

我的心默默无声，专等候神；我的救恩是从他而来。

大卫和众首领分派亚萨、希幔，并耶杜顿的子孙弹琴、鼓瑟、敲钹、唱歌。他们供职的人数记在下面：亚萨的儿子撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅、亚萨利拉都归亚萨指教，遵王的旨意唱歌。耶杜顿的儿子基大利、西利、耶筛亚、哈沙比雅、玛他提雅、示每共六人，都归他们父亲耶杜顿指教，弹琴，唱歌，称谢，颂赞耶和华。希幔的儿子布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提、玛哈秀；这都是希幔的儿子，吹角颂赞。希幔奉神之命作王的先见。神赐给希幔十四个儿子，三个女儿，都归他们父亲指教，在耶和华的殿唱歌、敲钹、弹琴、鼓瑟，办神殿的事务。亚萨、耶杜顿、希幔都是王所命定的。他们和他们的弟兄学习颂赞耶和华；善于歌唱的共有二百八十八人。

耶和华晓谕摩西说：“你要用银子做两枝号，都要锤出来的，用以招聚会众，并叫众营起行。吹这号的时候，全会众要到你那里，聚集在会幕门口。若单吹一枝，众首领，就是以色列军中的统领，要聚集到你那里。吹出大声的时候，东边安的营都要起行。

匠人立耶和华殿根基的时候，祭司皆穿礼服吹号，亚萨的子孙利未人敲钹，照以色列王大卫所定的例，都站着赞美耶和华。他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶和华说：“他本为善，他向以色列人永发慈爱。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众民大声呼喊，因耶和华殿的根基已经立定。

每日早晚，站立称谢赞美耶和华，

大能者神耶和华已经发言招呼天下，从日出之地到日落之处。

愿他们跳舞赞美他的名，击鼓弹琴歌颂他！

就蒙恩得穿光明洁白的细麻衣。这细麻衣就是圣徒所行的义。

祭司侍立，各供其职；利未人也拿着耶和华的乐器，就是大卫王造出来、藉利未人颂赞耶和华的。（他的慈爱永远长存！）祭司在众人面前吹号，以色列人都站立。

大卫和以色列众人在神前用琴、瑟、锣、鼓、号作乐，极力跳舞歌唱。

大卫派几个利未人在耶和华的约柜前侍奉，颂扬，称谢，赞美耶和华以色列的神：为首的是亚萨，其次是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、玛他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄别以东、耶利，鼓瑟弹琴；惟有亚萨敲钹，大发响声；祭司比拿雅和雅哈悉常在神的约柜前吹号。

耶和华拯救我的神啊，我昼夜在你面前呼吁。
