“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?” they cried out.“ Where can we send the Ark from here?”

伯示麦人说：“谁能在耶和华这圣洁的神面前侍立呢？这约柜可以从我们这里送到谁那里去呢？”

伯‧示麦人说：“谁能在耶和华这位圣洁的上帝面前侍立呢？这约柜可以从我们这里上到谁那里去呢？”

伯‧示麦人说：“谁能在耶和华这位圣洁的神面前侍立呢？这约柜可以从我们这里上到谁那里去呢？”

伯·示麦人说：“谁能站立在耶和华——这位圣洁的上帝面前呢？该把约柜送到谁那里呢？”

伯．示麦人说：“在耶和华这位圣洁的神面前，谁能站立得住呢？他可以从我们这里上到哪里去呢？”

伯示麦人说：“谁能在这位圣洁的神耶和华面前站立得住呢？应该请他离开我们上谁那里去呢？”

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏送到誰那裏去呢？」

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這位聖潔的上帝面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏上到誰那裏去呢？」

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這位聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏上到誰那裏去呢？」

伯·示麥人說：「誰能站立在耶和華——這位聖潔的上帝面前呢？該把約櫃送到誰那裡呢？」

伯示麥人說：『在永恆主這神聖的上帝面前、誰能站立得住呢？我們要把他從我們這裏送上哪裏去呢？』

伯示麥人說：「誰能在這位聖潔的神耶和華面前站立得住呢？應該請他離開我們上誰那裡去呢？」

伯示麥人曰、此維聖之上帝耶和華、孰能立於其前、彼離我、當何往、

伯示麥人曰、耶和華上帝至聖、孰能立於其前、匱離斯土、當往何方。

伯示麥人曰、主天主至聖、誰能立於其前、匱離我儕當往誰之所乎、

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The people of Beth Shemesh said,“ The Lord is a holy God. Who can stand in front of him? Where can the ark go up to from here?”

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

And the men of Beth shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”

And the men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”

And the men of Beth- shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of this holy Lord God? Who should the ark go to from here?”

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

David was now afraid of the Lord, and he asked,“ How can I ever bring the Ark of the Lord back into my care?”

“ But who will be able to endure it when he comes? Who will be able to stand and face him when he appears? For he will be like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes.

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?”

No wonder you are greatly feared! Who can stand before you when your anger explodes?

So they called together the rulers of the Philistine towns and asked,“ What should we do with the Ark of the God of Israel?” The rulers discussed it and replied,“ Move it to the town of Gath.” So they moved the Ark of the God of Israel to Gath.But when the Ark arrived at Gath, the Lord’s heavy hand fell on its men, young and old; he struck them with a plague of tumors, and there was a great panic.So they sent the Ark of God to the town of Ekron, but when the people of Ekron saw it coming they cried out,“ They are bringing the Ark of the God of Israel here to kill us, too!”The people summoned the Philistine rulers again and begged them,“ Please send the Ark of the God of Israel back to its own country, or it will kill us all.” For the deadly plague from God had already begun, and great fear was sweeping across the town.Those who didn’t die were afflicted with tumors; and the cry from the town rose to heaven.

Then the people of Israel said to Moses,“ Look, we are doomed! We are dead! We are ruined!Everyone who even comes close to the Tabernacle of the Lord dies. Are we all doomed to die?”

David was angry because the Lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah. He named that place Perez uzzah( which means“ to burst out against Uzzah”), as it is still called today.David was now afraid of God, and he asked,“ How can I ever bring the Ark of God back into my care?”So David did not move the Ark into the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed edom of Gath.

And all the people in the region of the Gerasenes begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone, for a great wave of fear swept over them. So Jesus returned to the boat and left, crossing back to the other side of the lake.

When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said,“ Oh, Lord, please leave me— I’m such a sinful man.”

For I, the Lord, am the one who brought you up from the land of Egypt, that I might be your God. Therefore, you must be holy because I am holy.

Then the Lord’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him dead because of this. So Uzzah died right there beside the Ark of God.
