因為你——萬軍之耶和華以色列的神，是你親自啟示你的僕人，說：『我要為你建造家室。』所以你的僕人有了勇氣來向你獻上這禱告。

我要堅立他的後裔，直到永遠；使他的寶座如天之久。

這全體會眾也會知道：耶和華不是靠著刀劍和長矛施行拯救，戰爭的勝敗在於耶和華。他必把你們交在我們手中！」

他對大衛說：「你比我公義，因為你以善待我，我卻以惡待你。

撒母耳就對他說：「耶和華今天從你身上撕去了以色列的王權，賜給了你的鄰人，他比你好。

同樣，你們的光也應當照耀在人前，使他們看見你們的美好工作，就榮耀你們在天上的父。

百夫長看見所發生的事，就不住地榮耀神，說：「這個人的確是義人。」

我們受刑理所應當，因為我們所受的與我們所做的相稱。但這個人卻沒有做過什麼壞事。」

行為純全、按照耶和華的律法而行的人是蒙福的！謹守耶和華的法度、全心尋求他的人是蒙福的！他們不做不義的事，只走在他的道路上。

婭比蓋俯伏在大衛腳前，說：「我主啊，願這罪責歸於我！請容許你的女僕向你說話，求你聽女僕的話：

從前掃羅作我們王的時候，帶領以色列出入的就是你，耶和華也曾對你說：『你要牧養我的子民以色列，你要作以色列的領袖。』」

就對部下說：「耶和華絕不允許我對耶和華的受膏者我主做這樣的事，我絕不對他下手，因為他是耶和華的受膏者。」大衛用這些話阻止了部下，不允許他們起來攻擊掃羅。掃羅起身離開洞穴，繼續行路。

最後，你們要在主裡藉著他力量的權能得以剛強。你們要配上神的全副武裝，使你們得以站立，對付魔鬼的騙局，
