他心里想：“我把这个女儿给大卫，让他中圈套，好借非利士人的手杀掉他。”于是，他对大卫说：“你现在还有一次机会做我的女婿。”

心里想：“我要把米甲给大卫，利用米甲作他的陷阱，好让非利士人的手害他。”于是扫罗对大卫说：“你今天可以第二次作我的女婿。”

他想：“我要把米甲嫁给大卫，使她成为大卫的陷阱，好让非利士人的手对付他。”于是扫罗对大卫说：“今天你有第二次机会作我的女婿。”

他想：「我要把米甲嫁給大衛，使她成為大衛的陷阱，好讓非利士人的手對付他。」於是掃羅對大衛說：「今天你有第二次機會作我的女婿。」

曰、我妻以女、以為機檻、使非利士人加手害之、遂謂大衛曰、今日復為我壻、

自謂許妻以女、若設坎阱、使非利士人擊之。告大闢曰、予今必於二女中以其一妻爾。

“ I’ll give her to David to be his wife,” Saul said to himself.“ Then maybe she’ll trap him. And maybe the Philistines will strike him down.” So Saul said to David,“ Now you have a second chance to become my son- in- law.”

Saul thought,“ Let me give her to him, that she may be a snare for him and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David a second time,“ You shall now be my son-in-law.”

“ Here’s another chance to see him killed by the Philistines!” Saul said to himself. But to David he said,“ Today you have a second chance to become my son in law!”

“ I’ll give her to him,” Saul thought.“ She’ll be a trap for him, and the hand of the Philistines will be against him.” So Saul said to David a second time,“ You can now be my son-in-law.”

For Saul thought,“ I will give her to him so that she may become a trap for him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David,“ For a second time you may become my son in law, today.”

So Saul said,“ I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” Therefore Saul said to David a second time,“ You shall be my son-in-law today.”

And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son- in- law a second time.

“ I’ll give her to him,” Saul thought.“ She’ll be a trap for him, and the hand of the Philistines will be against him.” So Saul said to David a second time,“ You can now be my son-in-law.”

And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in[ the one of] the twain.

Saul said,“ I will give her to him so that she may become a snare to him and the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” So Saul said to David,“ Today is the second time for you to become my son-in-law.”

Saul said, I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Therefore Saul said to David,“ You shall today be my son- in- law a second time.”

Saul said to David,“ Here is my older daughter Merab. I will give her to you in marriage; only serve me bravely and fight the battles of the Lord.” For Saul said to himself,“ I will not raise a hand against him. Let the Philistines do that!”

Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceitfully. With their mouths they all speak cordially to their neighbors, but in their hearts they set traps for them.

When the attendants told David these things, he was pleased to become the king’s son-in-law. So before the allotted time elapsed,

Pharaoh’s officials said to him,“ How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is ruined?”

Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit.Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts.Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.

Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made.The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.

“ Among my people are the wicked who lie in wait like men who snare birds and like those who set traps to catch people.

Those who flatter their neighbors are spreading nets for their feet.

Saul sent men to David’s house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, warned him,“ If you don’t run for your life tonight, tomorrow you’ll be killed.”So Michal let David down through a window, and he fled and escaped.

Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.
