你们得以重生，不是出于会朽坏的种子，而是出于不朽坏的种子，是藉着神永活长存的话语，

蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

You have been born again by means of the living word of God. His word lasts forever. You were not born again from a seed that will die. You were born from a seed that can’t die.

愿颂赞归于神——我们主耶稣基督的父！他照着自己极大的怜悯，藉着耶稣基督从死人中的复活，使我们重生，得着永生的盼望，

神的话语是有生命的，是有功效的；比任何双刃的剑更锋利，能刺透到魂和灵的分界，以及骨节和骨髓的分界，也能辨明心中的思想和意念；

因为这会朽坏的，必须穿上不朽坏的；这会死的，必须穿上不死的。一旦这会朽坏的穿上那不朽坏的，这会死的穿上那不死的，经上所记的话就会应验了：“死亡被胜利吞灭了！”

他们不是由血缘、或肉体的意愿、或人的意志所生的，而是由神所生的。

耶稣回答说：“我确确实实地告诉你：一个人如果不重生，就不能见神的国。”

耶稣回答：“我确确实实地告诉你：一个人如果不是由水和圣灵所生的，就不能进入神的国。

赐人生命的是灵，肉体没有什么用。我对你们说的话就是灵，就是生命。

但主的话却永远长存。”所传给你们的福音就是这话。

我们知道：凡是由神所生的人，就不会继续犯罪；原来，由神所生的那一位保守着他，那恶者也就不碰他。

天和地将要消逝，但是我的话绝不会消逝。

他照着自己的旨意，藉着真理的话语生了我们，要使我们在他所造的万物中成为一种初熟的果子。

万有是藉着他而成的；凡所成的，没有一样不是藉着他而成的。

甚至用偶像，就是会朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬行动物的形像，来取代那不朽之神的荣耀。

万军之耶和华说：“看哪！我要斥责你们的后裔，也要把粪便，就是节期祭牲的粪便涂在你们脸上；人要把你们与粪便一同抬走。
