我必於所賜之地、拒絕以色列族、棄此為我名區別為聖之室、而不之顧、使以色列族、於列國之中、作諺語、為話柄、

我將於所賜之地、殲滅以色列族、我所成聖之殿、為籲名之所者必毀、使以色列族為兆民作歌譏刺。

則我將於所賜之地、翦滅以色列人、必擯棄為我名所區別為聖之殿、使以色列人為萬民作歌譏刺、

then I will cut Israel off from the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will expel from My sight. So Israel will become a saying and an object of derision among all peoples.

then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight. Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

I will cut off Israel from the land I gave them, and I will reject the temple I have sanctified for My name. Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples.

You have made us a byword among the nations, a laughingstock among the peoples.

I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a reproach, a byword, a taunt, and a curse in all the places where I shall drive them.

And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the Lord will lead you away.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess. You will not live long in it, but will be utterly destroyed.

And they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels.

Ah, this is the day we longed for; now we have it; we see it!”

And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight.When he had torn Israel from the house of David, they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord and made them commit great sin.The people of Israel walked in all the sins that Jeroboam did. They did not depart from them,until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

Do not trust in these deceptive words:‘ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’“ For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another,if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm,then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.“ Behold, you trust in deceptive words to no avail.Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say,‘ We are delivered!’— only to go on doing all these abominations?Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares the Lord.Go now to my place that was in Shiloh, where I made my name dwell at first, and see what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.And now, because you have done all these things, declares the Lord, and when I spoke to you persistently you did not listen, and when I called you, you did not answer,therefore I will do to the house that is called by my name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.And I will cast you out of my sight, as I cast out all your kinsmen, all the offspring of Ephraim.

You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name,

Now when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and greatly enraged, and he jeered at the Jews.And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of Samaria,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?”Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said,“ Yes, what they are building— if a fox goes up on it he will break down their stone wall!”Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.

But he answered them,“ You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

‘ Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and your sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.
