如人獲罪於爾、使天閉塞、雨澤不降、至殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、緣遘患難、去厥罪愆、

如民獲罪於主、致天閉塞不雨、而在此處祈禱、認主之名、主罰之之後、悛悔罪惡、

“ When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them,

“ Suppose your people have sinned against you. And because of that, the sky is closed up and there isn’t any rain. But your people pray toward this place. They praise you by admitting they’ve sinned. And they turn away from their sin because you have made them suffer.

以致耶和华的怒气向你们发作，使天封闭不下雨，使地不出产，使你们在耶和华所赐给你们的美地上速速灭亡。

我必粉碎你们因势力而有的骄傲，又要使你们的天坚如铁，地硬如铜。

于是迦得来到大卫那里告诉他，问他：“你要国中有七年的饥荒呢？或是你在敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？或是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要考虑思量，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”

我对你们说实话，在以利亚的时候，天闭塞了三年六个月，遍地有大饥荒，那时，以色列中有许多寡妇，

这二人有权柄关闭天空，使他们说预言的日子不下雨；又有权柄使水变为血，并且能随时随意用各样的灾害击打大地。

所以，以色列家啊，我必按你们各人所做的审判你们。当回转，回转离开你们一切的罪过，免得罪孽成为你们的绊脚石。这是主耶和华说的。你们要把所犯的一切罪过尽行抛弃，为自己造一个新的心和新的灵。以色列家啊，你们为什么要死呢？我不喜欢有任何人死亡，所以你们当回转，要存活！这是主耶和华说的。”

并使外邦人，因他的怜悯，荣耀上帝。如经上所记：“因此，我要在外邦中称颂你，歌颂你的名。”

住在基列的提斯比人以利亚对亚哈说：“我指着所事奉永生的耶和华—以色列的上帝起誓，这几年我若不祷告，必不降露水，也不下雨。”

愿你的眼目昼夜看顾这殿，就是你说要作为你名的居所；求你垂听祷告，你仆人向此处的祷告。你仆人和你百姓以色列向此处祈祷的时候，求你在你天上的居所垂听，垂听而赦免。

你们举手祷告，我必遮眼不看，就算你们多多祈祷，我也不听；你们的手沾满了血。你们要洗涤、自洁，从我眼前除掉恶行；要停止作恶，

祭司啊，当束上麻布痛哭；事奉祭坛的啊，要哀号；事奉我上帝的啊，你们要来，披上麻布过夜，因为在你们上帝的殿中不再有素祭和浇酒祭了。你们要使禁食的日子分别为圣，宣告严肃会，召集长老和这地所有的居民来到耶和华—你们上帝的殿，向耶和华哀求。哀哉，这日子！因为耶和华的日子临近，好像毁灭从全能者来到。粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？欢喜快乐不是从我们上帝的殿中止息了吗？种子在土块下朽烂，仓荒凉，廪破坏，因为五谷枯干了。牲畜哀鸣，牛群混乱，因无草场，羊群也受苦。耶和华啊，我向你求告，因为有火吞噬野地的草场，火焰烧尽田野的树木。田野的走兽切慕你，因为溪水干涸，火吞噬了野地的草场。

这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

以色列啊，你要归向耶和华—你的上帝，你因自己的罪孽跌倒了。

“人子啊，若有一国犯罪干犯我，我也伸手攻击它，断绝他们粮食的供应，使饥荒临到那地，将人与牲畜从其中剪除；

你头上的天要变成铜，下面的地要化为铁。耶和华要使那降在你地上的雨变为灰尘，尘土从天落在你身上，直到你被除灭。

你若口里宣认耶稣为主，心里信上帝叫他从死人中复活，就必得救。

耶和华必为你敞开天上的宝库，按时降雨在你的地上。他必赐福你手里所做的一切。你必借给许多国家，却不必去借贷。

耶和华的话临到耶利米，论到旱灾的事：“犹大悲哀，城门衰败；众人坐在地上哀恸，耶路撒冷的哀声上达。他们的贵族打发僮仆去打水；他们来到水池，找不到水，就拿着空器皿，蒙羞惭愧，抱头而回。因为无雨降在地上，土地就干裂，农夫为此蒙羞抱头。田野的母鹿因为无草也撇弃才生的小鹿。野驴站在光秃的高地喘气，好像野狗；它们的眼目因无草而失明。”耶和华啊，虽然我们的罪孽控告我们，求你为你名的缘故行动吧！我们本是多次背道，得罪了你。

你们要将当纳的十分之一全然送入仓库，使我家有粮，以此试试我，是否为你们敞开天上的窗户，倾福与你们，甚至无处可容。这是万军之耶和华说的。

“你的百姓以色列若得罪你，败在仇敌面前，却又归向你，宣认你的名，在这殿里向你祈求祷告，

你们要在锡安吹角，使禁食的日子分别为圣，宣告严肃会。聚集百姓，使会众自洁；召集老年人，聚集孩童和在母怀吃奶的；使新郎出内室，新娘离开洞房。事奉耶和华的祭司要在走廊和祭坛间哭泣，说：“耶和华啊，求你顾惜你的百姓，不要使你的产业受羞辱，在列国中成为笑柄。为何让人在万民中说‘他们的上帝在哪里’呢？”
