After a long time, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah:“ Go and present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the land.”

It was now three years since it had rained. A message came to Elijah from the Lord. He said,“ Go. Speak to Ahab. Then I will send rain on the land.”

After many days the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying,“ Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.”

Later on, in the third year of the drought, the Lord said to Elijah,“ Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain!”

After a long time, the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year:“ Go and present yourself to Ahab. I will send rain on the surface of the land.”

Now it happened after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying,“ Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will provide rain on the face of the earth.”

And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying,“ Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.”

And it came to pass after many days, that the word of Jehovah came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

After a long time, the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year:“ Go and present yourself to Ahab. I will send rain on the surface of the land.”

Some time later, in the third year of the famine, the LORD told Elijah,“ Go, make an appearance before Ahab, so I may send rain on the surface of the ground.”

After many days, Yahweh’s word came to Elijah, in the third year, saying,“ Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth.”

我誠語汝、當以利亞時、天閉塞三年有六月、徧地大饑、以色列中多嫠、

以利亞為人、情同我儕、切求不雨、則不雨於地、歷三年有六月、

耶和華必為爾啟其寶藏、使天降時雨於爾土、於爾凡百所為、錫嘏於爾、爾貸金於列邦、而不告貸於彼、

旅於基列之提斯比人以利亞、告亞哈曰、我指所事維生之耶和華、以色列之上帝而誓、此數年間、非我有言、則雨露不降、

我必降以時雨、使土地產物、園樹結果、

使之荒蕪、不治不鋤、荊棘蒺藜滋長、命雲不雨、

異邦虛無之物、有能降雨者乎、天能自施甘霖乎、我之上帝耶和華歟、行此者非爾乎、故我仰望爾、蓋此諸事、皆爾所為也、

錫安之子女歟、爾其歡欣、因爾上帝耶和華而喜樂、以其錫爾秋雨、適合其宜、為爾降甘霖、即春雨秋雨、同乎疇昔、

婦往、遵以利亞言而行、婦與其家、及以利亞、食之多日、

以利亞遂往、見於亞哈、時、撒瑪利亞饑甚、

以利亞曰、我指所事萬軍之主、維生之耶和華而誓、今日我必見於彼、俄巴底乃往迓亞哈而告之、亞哈遂往迓以利亞、見之則曰、困苦以色列者、乃爾乎、對曰、困苦以色列者、非我也、乃爾及爾父家、緣爾離棄耶和華之誡命、從諸巴力、今當遣人集以色列眾、與巴力之先知四百五十人、及木偶之先知四百人、食於耶洗別之席者、至迦密山見我、亞哈遂遣人詣以色列眾、集諸先知、至迦密山、以利亞前謂民眾曰、爾持兩端、躊躇莫決、將至何時、如以耶和華為上帝、則從之、如以巴力為上帝、則從彼、民不答一詞、以利亞謂民曰、耶和華之先知、僅遺我一人耳、巴力之先知、則有四百五十人、當以二牡牛與我儕、彼簡其一而臠之、置於柴、惟不縱火、我亦備一、置於柴、亦不縱火、爾籲爾神之名、我則籲耶和華之名、以火俞允者、則為上帝、民咸曰、所言善也、以利亞謂巴力之先知曰、爾曹眾多、先簡一牛備之、而籲爾神之名、惟不縱火、乃取所予之牛備之、自朝至午、籲巴力之名曰、巴力歟、其聽我、然無聲響、無應者、彼則踊於壇之四周、亭午、以利亞戲之曰、大聲而呼、彼乃神、或默想、或暫出、或遠行、或假寐、必使之醒、遂大聲而呼、以刃與戟自刺、迨及血流、循其常例、自午後至獻素祭時、託神而言、仍無聲響、無應者、無顧者、以利亞謂眾曰、其來就我、民咸就之、以利亞修葺耶和華傾圮之壇、昔耶和華諭雅各曰、爾名以色列、以利亞循雅各裔支派之數、取石十二、奉耶和華之名築壇、四周作溝、可容穀種二細亞、列柴、臠牛置於柴上、曰、以水充四甕、傾於燔祭及柴、又曰、再行之、則行之再、復曰、三行之、則行之三、水流於壇之四周、以充其溝、獻素祭時、先知以利亞前曰、亞伯拉罕以撒以色列之上帝、耶和華歟、願爾今日顯示、爾在以色列中為上帝、我為爾僕、凡我所為、悉遵爾命、耶和華歟、尚其聽我、尚其聽我、使斯民皆知、爾耶和華乃上帝、爾使其心翻然而轉、耶和華之火遂降、焚其燔祭、以及其柴、其石、其塵土、亦涸溝中之水、民眾見此、則俯伏曰、耶和華乃上帝、耶和華乃上帝、以利亞謂眾曰、執巴力之先知、毋使一人逸、遂執之、以利亞曳至基順溪、殺之於彼、○

彼發厥聲、則穹蒼之水鳴動、地極之雲上騰、電隨雨作、風自庫出、

日久無雨降於其地、溪水盡涸、○

眷顧下土、而灌溉之、廣加滋潤、上帝之川、充盈以水、爾既備地、給人以糧兮、深潤其阡陌、平治其土壤、柔之以甘霖、錫嘏其所產兮、冠年以恩澤、爾所經之路、滴瀝以恩膏兮、滴瀝於野間草場、岡陵束以歡樂兮、草場被以羣羊、諸谷盈以禾稼、皆歡呼而謳歌兮、

彼有權閉天、使於其預言之日不雨、亦有權治諸水、變之為血、且隨其所欲、以各災擊地、

穫前三月、我禁厥雨、惟雨此邑、不雨彼邑、一田得雨、他田無雨、則枯槁焉、

殿外之院、舍之勿量、蓋已予列邦、彼將踐踏聖邑、四十有二月、
