有妻者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於妻、則分心矣。

But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world— how he can please his wife—

But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife.

But he who is married cares about the things of the world— how he may please his wife.

but he that is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

But a married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please[ his] wife.

夫歟、爾亦當循理與婦同居、且當敬之、因彼為荏弱之器、亦與爾共得永生之恩者、使爾祈禱、無所阻也、○

夫、爾當愛婦、勿待之以苦、

夫當以所宜者予婦、

民與其妻大號呼、怨其同族猶大人、或曰、我與子女人數甚多、當鬻子女以糴榖、食而得生、或曰、我當質田畝、葡萄園、宅第、以糴榖充饑、或曰、我已質田畝、葡萄園、貸銀以納王之稅、我身與同族之身無異、我子女與同族之子女無異、今不得已將子女鬻為奴婢、我女早有為婢者、贖之無力、蓋我田畝葡萄園、已為人所得、

乃謂門徒曰、我告爾、勿為生命慮何以食、勿為身體慮何以衣、

以利加拿每獻祭之日、以祭肉分予妻毘尼拿及其子女、因愛哈拿、予之維倍、無奈主不賜之產育、不賜之產育或作禁其胎孕下同毘尼拿嫉哈拿、見主不賜之產育、則激之使怒、每歲上主殿之時、以利加拿如是厚待哈拿、毘尼拿亦如是激之使怒、令其哭而不食、夫以利加拿謂之曰、哈拿、因何哭泣、因何不食、因何中心憂鬱、我之與爾不愈於十子乎、

且務安靜、各行己事、親手操作、如我儕所命爾者、如是、爾向外人行事合宜、而己亦無所乏也、○

夫歟、爾當愛婦、如基督愛教會、為教會舍己、以水之洗與道而潔之、使之成聖、俾立於己前為榮耀之教會、無瑕垢縐容等類之疵、乃聖潔純全無玷、夫當愛婦如己身、愛婦即愛己、從未有人惡己身者、乃保之養之、如主之保養教會、我儕為主身之肢體骨肉、經云、故人離父母、好合其妻、二者成為一體、此奧妙大矣、我引之以指基督與教會、然爾曹各當愛其妻如己、婦亦當敬其夫、

人若不顧親屬、是棄道也、較之不信者更惡、不顧家人則尤甚、○
