But I say this, brothers: the time is short, that from now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none;

兄弟乎、吾言今而後、窘逼之時也、故有妻者、當如無妻、

兄弟乎、所餘之時無幾、故有妻者當如無妻、

第有一語、不得不為兄弟告者、即人生在世、為日無多；故有妻當若無妻、

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

Brothers and sisters, what I mean is that the time is short. From now on, those who have a husband or wife should live as if they did not.

This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,

But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short. So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage.

This is what I mean, brothers and sisters: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;

But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brethren, the time is shortened, that henceforth both those that have wives may be as though they had none;

And I say this, brothers: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brethren, the time[ is] short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

And I say this, brothers and sisters: The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.

Come now, you who say,“ Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.For you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.”But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.

Let’s therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach.For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.

and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.

The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.

“ Yahweh, show me my end, what is the measure of my days. Let me know how frail I am.Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” Selah.“ Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you.

This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.

The voice of one saying,“ Cry!” One said,“ What shall I cry?”“ All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”

For,“ All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self- controlled, and sober in prayer.

But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.“ Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher.“ All is vanity!”

For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he spends like a shadow? For who can tell a man what will be after him under the sun?

Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.

“ Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.He grows up like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn’t continue.

As for man, his days are like grass. As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.For the wind passes over it, and it is gone. Its place remembers it no more.
