But this I say, brethren, the time[ is] short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

第有一語、不得不為兄弟告者、即人生在世、為日無多；故有妻當若無妻、

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

Brothers and sisters, what I mean is that the time is short. From now on, those who have a husband or wife should live as if they did not.

This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,

But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short. So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage.

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:Whereas ye know not what[ shall be] on the morrow. For what[ is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.For that ye[ ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

And they that use this world, as not abusing[ it]: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it[ is; that] I may know how frail I[ am].Behold, thou hast made my days[ as] an handbreadth; and mine age[ is] as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state[ is] altogether vanity. Selah.Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up[ riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope[ is] in thee.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this[ is] the whole[ duty] of man.For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether[ it be] good, or whether[ it be] evil.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are[ as] a sleep: in the morning[ they are] like grass[ which] groweth up.In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret[ sins] in the light of thy countenance.For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale[ that is told].The days of our years[ are] threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength[ they be] fourscore years, yet[ is] their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh[ is] grass, and all the goodliness thereof[ is] as the flower of the field:The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people[ is] grass.The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

For all flesh[ is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do[ it] with thy might; for[ there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day[ is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all[ is] vanity.

For who knoweth what[ is] good for man in[ this] life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.

Man[ that is] born of a woman[ is] of few days, and full of trouble.He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

[ As for] man, his days[ are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
