Then he said to them,“ God’s judgment against you will be your own fault! Don’t blame me for it! From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”Then Paul left the synagogue and went to the house next door. It was the house of Titius Justus, a man who worshiped God.Crispus was the synagogue leader. He and everyone living in his house came to believe in the Lord. Many others who lived in Corinth heard Paul. They too believed and were baptized. One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision.“ Don’t be afraid,” he said.“ Keep on speaking. You yourselves are our letter. You are written on our hearts. Everyone knows you and reads you.You make it clear that you are a letter from Christ. You are the result of our work for God. You are a letter written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God. You are a letter written not on tablets made out of stone but on human hearts.Through Christ, we can be sure of this before God.In ourselves we are not able to claim anything for ourselves. The power to do what we do comes from God.

Who serves as a soldier but doesn’t get paid? Who plants a vineyard but doesn’t eat any of its grapes? Who takes care of a flock but doesn’t drink any of the milk?Do I say this only on human authority? The Law says the same thing. Here is what is written in the Law of Moses.“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Is it oxen that God is concerned about?Doesn’t he say that for us? Yes, it was written for us. Whoever plows and separates the grain hopes to share the harvest. And it is right for them to hope for this.We have planted spiritual seed among you. Is it too much to ask that we receive from you some things we need?
  • 1 Corinthians 15 1-1 Corinthians 15 11
Brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the good news I preached to you. You received it and have put your faith in it.Because you believed the good news, you are saved. But you must hold firmly to the message I preached to you. If you don’t, you have believed it for nothing. What I received I passed on to you. And it is the most important of all. Here is what it is. Christ died for our sins, just as Scripture said he would. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as Scripture said he would be.He appeared to Peter. Then he appeared to the 12 apostles. After that, he appeared to more than 500 brothers and sisters at the same time. Most of them are still living. But some have died.He appeared to James. Then he appeared to all the apostles.Last of all, he also appeared to me. I was like someone who wasn’t born at the right time.I am the least important of the apostles. I’m not even fit to be called an apostle. I tried to destroy God’s church. But because of God’s grace I am what I am. And his grace was not wasted on me. No, I have worked harder than all the other apostles. But I didn’t do the work. God’s grace was with me.So this is what we preach, whether I or the other apostles who preached to you. And that is what you believed.

They also produce food for people to eat.The words I speak are like that. They will not return to me without producing results. They will accomplish what I want them to. They will do exactly what I sent them to do.
