弟兄們，你們知道司提法納一家人是亞該亞初熟的果子，而且他們獻上了自己去服事聖徒們。我勸你們，

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the saints;

問候吾之愛友希本篤、在亞細亞首先歸順基督者也。

尚有斯德法納一家、亦係予所付洗者、餘則不復記憶矣。

各按所賦才能、互相效勞、庶無負天主多方授才之美意。蓋凡百才能、皆屬天主之付託；爾當忠心耿耿，無忝所受之惠也。

夙夜祈禱、持之以恆。供應聖徒、款待賓旅。

惟目前吾須先赴耶路撒冷一行、以賑濟諸聖徒。

彼等且再三懇求吾儕、准其同享賑濟聖徒之特恩；

其實關於周濟聖徒之事、應無須吾之喋喋也。

茲特介紹與爾、務請仰體主心、殷勤接納、一切予以照拂、以盡同道之誼。彼在過去曾照拂多人、予亦曾受其惠也。

約帕有女徒名大比大、希臘語曰多加、平生孳孳為善、博施濟眾；適以疾逝、洗屍停樓。呂大毗鄰約帕、門徒聞伯鐸祿在、遣二人語之曰：『勿吝玉趾、速來我處、』伯鐸祿遂偕行、既至、引之登樓、諸嫠環之而泣、並出示多加生前所製之衣、伯鐸祿屏眾、跽而祈禱、顧謂死者曰：『大比大起！』婦目啟、見伯鐸祿、遂起坐。伯鐸祿扶之使立、乃召聖徒及諸嫠、以復生者歸之。

若輩平生未曾沾染女色、皆屬純粹之童身、故得追隨羔羊、須臾不離、贖自人間、而於天主及羔羊充先薦之菓、

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。申言之、若輩既見爾等慈善之明徵、必因爾等之服膺聖道及急公好義、而翕然歸榮於天主矣。同時若輩鑒於爾等之滿被聖寵、嚮往之念、必油然而發、且將為爾祈禱矣。於此天主之福澤、實有不可思議者焉。吾人可不心歌而腹詠乎哉！

及迦流為亞該亞方伯、猶太人群起而攻葆樂、曳之公庭曰：

其人必須有賢德之稱曾教養兒女善待賓客、且為聖徒洗足、平生濟人之難、周人之急、孳孳為善、惟日不足者、方得稱是。

何則、天主不負有心人、對於爾等之工作、爾等之敬愛聖名、供養聖徒、至今未懈、天主必不致忘懷也。

斯德法福都納亞該谷三人抵此、令予喜甚。若輩之所為、實能補爾等之不足；

使我得脫於猶太諸不信者之手、使我之貢獻得蒙耶路撒冷諸聖徒之悅納、

仁愛如兄、實令吾歡忭鼓舞、情不自禁；即諸聖之心、亦因兄而獲浣慰焉。
