你看，有祭司和利未人的各班次，办理神殿里的一切事务；又有各种的巧匠，在各样的工作上，乐意帮助你，并且众领袖和所有的人民，都听从你的一切命令。”

犹大的儿子是珥、俄南和示拉。这三人是迦南人书亚的女儿所生的。犹大的长子珥行耶和华看为恶的事，耶和华就使他死去。犹大的媳妇他玛，给犹大生了法勒斯和谢拉。犹大共有五个儿子。法勒斯的儿子是希斯仑和哈母勒。谢拉的儿子是心利、以探、希幔、甲各和大拉，共五人。迦米的儿子是亚干；这亚干偷取了当毁灭之物，连累了以色列人。以探的儿子是亚撒利雅。希斯仑所生的儿子是耶拉篾、兰和基路拜。

现在你们不可顽固，像你们的列祖那样；要顺服耶和华，进入他永远分别为圣的圣所，事奉耶和华你们的神，使他的烈怒转离你们。

他藐视誓言，背弃条约；他已宣誓效忠，却又行了这一切事，所以他必不能逃脱。

亚伯拉罕对他家中最老的，管理他所有产业的那仆人说：“请把你的手放在我的大腿底下。

亚多尼雅惧怕所罗门，就起来，去抓紧祭坛的角。有人告诉所罗门说：“亚多尼雅惧怕所罗门王。他现在抓紧祭坛的角说：‘愿所罗门王今天向我起誓，决不会用刀杀死他的仆人。’”所罗门说：“他若是作一个忠义的人，他的头发连一根也不会掉在地上；但在他身上若是发现有什么恶行，他必定死。”于是所罗门派人去把亚多尼雅从祭坛上带下来。他来向所罗门叩拜；所罗门对他说：“回你的家去吧！”

现在，我指着永活的耶和华─那位坚立了我，使我坐在我父亲大卫的王位上，又照他所应许，为我建立家室的─起誓，今天亚多尼雅必被处死！”于是，所罗门王差派耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅去击杀亚多尼雅，他就死了。

“耶和华你们的神不是与你们同在吗？不是使你们四境都安宁吗？因为他已经把这地的居民交在我手中；这地在耶和华和他的子民面前被治服了。
