所羅門坐他父親大衛的王位；他的國非常堅固。

王的命令你要遵守，這是為了你曾指着上帝來起誓的緣故。不要急躁地離開王面前；事情難辦時、你不要固執；因為他喜歡怎麼作、就怎麼作。因為王的話最有權力，誰能問他說：『你在作甚麼？』凡遵守命令的必不至於經歷禍患的事；智慧人的心自能曉得作事的時候與風度。

不過呢、願永恆主賜給你見識和明達，使他所委任你管理以色列的、你都謹守永恆主你的上帝的律法。

居上位有政權的、人人都當順服。因為沒有政權不是出於上帝的：一切政權都由上帝所定。

你在世的年日滿足、歸你列祖那裏的時候，我必立起你以後的苗裔，你子孫中的一位；我必堅立他的國。是他要為我建殿，我必堅立他的王位到永遠。

永恆主真地向大衛起誓過，他必不反覆變卦：他說：『你腹中出的果子、我必使其一位坐你寶座。

因為有一個孩子給我們生下來，有一個兒子賜給我們；有政權在他肩頭上；他的名稱為「神奇謀士，神威勇士，永恆之父，泰平之君。」他的政權宏大，他的泰平無窮，在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義堅立而支持它，從今時直到永遠。萬軍之永恆主的熱心必成就這事。
