此皆利未族中最著者、其苗裔生齒、載諸册、自二十歲以上、始在耶和華殿、供其役事。

These were the descendants of Levi by their families— the heads of families as they were registered under their names and counted individually, that is, the workers twenty years old or more who served in the temple of the Lord.

Those were the family lines of Levi. They were recorded under the names of the family leaders. Each worker who was 20 years old or more was counted. They served in the Lord’ s temple.

These were the sons of Levi by their fathers’ houses, the heads of fathers’ houses as they were listed according to the number of the names of the individuals from twenty years old and upward who were to do the work for the service of the house of the Lord.

然後，聖幕被拆下，革順和米拉利的子孫抬著聖幕出發。

凡三十歲以上的利未人都在統計之列，共有三萬八千男子，

隨後出發的是哥轄人，他們抬著聖物前行。在他們到達之前，聖幕應已支好。

登記三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子。

在回到耶路撒冷上帝殿的第二年二月，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯、約薩達的兒子耶書亞及其祭司和利未親族，以及所有從流亡之地回到耶路撒冷的人，開始重建耶和華的殿，並派二十歲以上的利未人做督工。

西緬支派中，二十歲以上、有作戰能力的男子按宗族、家系和姓名一一被登記下來，共有五萬九千三百人。

每人折合五十五克銀子，要以聖所的秤為準，即一舍客勒是二十季拉。

米拉利的兒子依次是抹利和姆示。他們按家系都屬於利未人的宗族。

在二月一日招聚全體會眾，按照宗族和家系統計人口，登記所有二十歲以上的男子。

「你要按以色列人的宗族和家系統計人口，登記所有男子的姓名。你和亞倫要一隊一隊地統計以色列人中二十歲以上、有作戰能力的男子。每一支派要有一個人來協助你們。他們都是各宗族的族長，

「你要按利未人的宗族和家系統計他們的人口，登記所有年齡在一個月以上的男性。」

按照大衛臨終時的囑咐，二十歲以上的利未人都已被統計。

於是，摩西、亞倫和會眾的首領按宗族和家系統計哥轄的子孫，登記了三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子，共兩千七百五十人。這是哥轄宗族在會幕司職的人數，是摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐統計的。按宗族和家系統計，革順的子孫中三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的共兩千六百三十人。
