Judah’s King Azariah
1In the twenty-seventh year of Israel’s King Jeroboam, Azariah = Uzziah in 2Ch 26:3 2Kg 14:21 son of Amaziah became king of Judah. 2Ch 26:3-5
2He was 16 years old when he became king and reigned 52 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah, who was from Jerusalem.
4Yet the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense on the high places. 2Kg 14:3-4
5The Lord afflicted the king, and he had a serious skin disease until the day of his death. 2Ch 26:16-21 He lived in a separate house, Lit house of freedom, or house of exemption Lv 13:46 while Jotham, 2Kg 15:32; 2Ch 27:1; Mc 1:1 the king’s son, was over the household governing the people of the land. 2Ch 26:16-21

7Azariah rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. His son Jotham became king in his place. 2Ch 26:22-23
Israel’s King Zechariah
8In the thirty-eighth year of Judah’s King Azariah, Zechariah 2Kg 14:29 son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.
9He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight as his fathers had done. 2Kg 14:24 He did not turn away from the sins Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit. 1Kg 12:28-33; 13:33-34
10Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah. He struck him down publicly, Some LXX mss read at Ibleam ; Hb uncertain killed him, and became king in his place. 2Kg 12:20

12The word of the Lord that He spoke to Jehu was, “Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” 2Kg 10:30 and it was so.
Israel’s King Shallum
13In the thirty-ninth year of Judah’s King Uzziah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king; he reigned in Samaria 1Kg 16:24 a full month.
14Then Menahem son of Gadi came up from Tirzah 1Kg 14:17 to Samaria and struck down Shallum son of Jabesh there. He killed him and became king in his place.

Israel’s King Menahem
16At that time, starting from Tirzah, Menahem attacked Tiphsah, 1Kg 4:24 all who were in it, and its territory. Because they wouldn’t surrender, Dt 20:11 he attacked it and ripped open all the pregnant women. 2Kg 8:12; Hs 13:16; Am 1:13
17In the thirty-ninth year of Judah’s King Azariah, Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel and reigned 10 years in Samaria.
18He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight. Throughout his reign, he did not turn away from the sins Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit. 1Kg 12:28-33; 15:26
19Pul = Tiglath-pileser 1Ch 5:25-26 king of Assyria invaded the land, so Menahem gave Pul 75,000 pounds Lit 1,000 talents of silver so that Pul would support him to strengthen his grip on the kingdom. 2Kg 14:5
20Then Menahem exacted 20 ounces Lit 50 shekels of silver from each of the wealthy men of Israel to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not stay there in the land. 2Kg 12:18

22Menahem rested with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah became king in his place. 2Kg 14:29
Israel’s King Pekahiah
23In the fiftieth year of Judah’s King Azariah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria and reigned two years.
24He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight and did not turn away from the sins Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit. 1Kg 12:28-33
25Then his officer, Pekah 2Ch 28:6 son of Remaliah, conspired against him 2Kg 12:20 and struck him down in Samaria at the citadel of the king’s palace 1Kg 16:8 — as well as Argob and Arieh. Hb obscure There were 50 Gileadite men with Pekah. He killed Pekahiah and became king in his place.

Israel’s King Pekah
27In the fifty-second year of Judah’s King Azariah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria and reigned 20 years.
28He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight. He did not turn away from the sins Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
29In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser 1Ch 5:6,26 king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, 1Kg 15:29 Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee — all the land of Naphtali Jos 19:32-39 — and deported the people to Assyria. 2Kg 17:6
30Then Hoshea 2Kg 17:1 son of Elah organized a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. He attacked him, killed him, 2Kg 12:20 and became king in his place in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.

Judah’s King Jotham
32In the second year of Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah, Jotham 2Kg 15:5,7 son of Uzziah became king of Judah.
33He was 25 years old when he became king 2Ch 27:1-3 and reigned 16 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
35Yet the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense on the high places.
Jotham built the Upper Gate of the Lord’s temple. 2Ch 27:3

37In those days the Lord began sending Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah. 2Kg 16:5; Is 7:1
38Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of his ancestor David. 2Kg 15:7 His son Ahaz became king in his place.
