Philippians 2:1 - Therefore if there is any encouragement and comfort in Christ [as there certainly is in abundance], if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship [that we share] in the Spirit, if [there is] any [great depth of] affection and compassion,
Philippians 2:2 - make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love [toward one another], knit together in spirit, intent on one purpose [and living a life that reflects your faith and spreads the gospel—the good news regarding salvation through faith in Christ].
Philippians 2:3 - Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves.
1 Peter 3:8 - Finally, all of you be like-minded [united in spirit], sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted [courteous and compassionate toward each other as members of one household], and humble in spirit;
Colossians 3:12 - So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper];
Galatians 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Ephesians 4:2 - with all humility [forsaking self-righteousness], and gentleness [maintaining self-control], with patience, bearing with one another in [unselfish] love.
Ephesians 4:3 - Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful].
Ephesians 4:4 - There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]—
Ephesians 4:5 - one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:6 - one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all.
Ephesians 4:31 - Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence].
Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.
Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].
Luke 14:34 - “Therefore, salt is good; but if salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
Luke 14:35 - It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.”
1 Thessalonians 5:13 - and [we ask that you appreciate them and] hold them in the highest esteem in love because of their work [on your behalf]. Live in peace with one another.
James 3:14 - But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not be arrogant, and [as a result] be in defiance of the truth.
James 3:15 - This [superficial] wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly (secular), natural (unspiritual), even demonic.
James 3:16 - For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder [unrest, rebellion] and every evil thing and morally degrading practice.
James 3:17 - But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without [self-righteous] hypocrisy [and self-serving guile].
James 3:18 - And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].
2 Corinthians 13:11 - Finally, believers, rejoice! Be made complete [be what you should be], be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace [enjoy the spiritual well-being experienced by believers who walk closely with God]; and the God of love and peace [the source of lovingkindness] will be with you.
Hebrews 12:14 - Continually pursue peace with everyone, and the sanctification without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.
Job 6:6 - Can something that has no taste to it be eaten without salt? Or is there any flavor in the white of an egg?
Romans 12:18 - If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Matthew 5:13 - “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].
Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you].
