  • Luke 24:30 - When he had taken his place at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
  • Matthew 14:19 - Then he instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.
  • Galatians 4:24 - These things may be treated as an allegory, for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.

  • John 6:33 - For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
  • John 6:34 - So they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread all the time!”
  • John 6:35 - Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never go hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty.
  • Acts 20:7 - On the first day of the week, when we met to break bread, Paul began to speak to the people, and because he intended to leave the next day, he extended his message until midnight.
  • Mark 14:22 - While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.”
  • Mark 14:23 - And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
  • Mark 14:24 - He said to them, “This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, that is poured out for many.

  • 1 Corinthians 11:25 - In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
  • 1 Corinthians 11:26 - For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
  • 1 Corinthians 11:27 - For this reason, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
  • 1 Corinthians 11:28 - A person should examine himself first, and in this way let him eat the bread and drink of the cup.
  • 1 Corinthians 11:29 - For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself.
