耶利米書 19:2 - 從瓦片門出去，到門口附近的欣嫩子谷，在那裡你要宣布我對你說的話。
耶利米書 19:3 - 你要說：‘猶大列王和耶路撒冷的居民啊，你們要聽耶和華的話。萬軍之耶和華以色列的　神這樣說：“我很快就會使災禍臨到這地方；所有聽見的人都會耳鳴。
耶利米書 19:4 - 因為，他們離棄我，使這地變成外地，在這裡向別的神燒獻祭物，就是那些他們和他們的列祖，以及猶大君王都不認識的神明；他們使這地方沾滿了無辜者的血。
耶利米書 19:5 - 他們在這裡建築巴力的丘壇，為要在火中焚燒自己的兒女，作燔祭獻給巴力。這不是我命令的，也不是我吩咐的，更沒有在我心裡想過的。
耶利米書 19:6 - 因此，我耶和華說，日子快到！這地方再也不會被稱為陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，而要稱為殺戮谷。
耶利米書 19:7 - 我要在這地方使猶大和耶路撒冷的計謀落空，也要使他們在仇敵面前喪身刀下，死在企圖殺害他們的人手中。我要把他們的屍體，給天空的飛鳥和地上的野獸作食物。
耶利米書 19:8 - 我要使這城令人驚恐，被人嗤笑；每一個路過的人都會惶恐，並且嗤笑她。
耶利米書 19:9 - 當圍城和危難期間，就是敵人和企圖殺害他們之人迫害他們的時候，我要使他們吃自己兒女的肉，人人吃彼此的肉。”’
耶利米書 19:10 - “然後，你要在跟你同去的人眼前，把那瓦瓶摔碎，
耶利米書 19:11 - 並對他們說：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“正如人把陶匠的瓦器摔碎，以致它無法再被修補，照樣我也要把這人民和這城打碎。人們在陀斐特埋葬屍體，直到無處可葬。
詩篇 2:9 - 你將用鐵杖擊毀他們；你將打碎他們，如同陶匠的瓦器。’”
