  • Numbers 1:1 - Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the wilderness of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites departed from the land of Egypt. He said:

  • Numbers 26:10 - The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and Korah at the time that company died, when the fire consumed 250 men. So they became a warning.
  • Numbers 26:11 - But the descendants of Korah did not die.
  • Numbers 26:12 - The Simeonites by their families: from Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; from Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; from Jakin, the family of the Jakinites;
  • Numbers 26:13 - from Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; and from Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
  • Numbers 26:14 - These were the families of the Simeonites, 22,200.
  • Numbers 26:15 - The Gadites by their families: from Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; from Haggi, the family of the Haggites; from Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

  • Numbers 26:53 - “To these the land must be divided as an inheritance according to the number of the names.
  • Numbers 26:54 - To a larger group you will give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group you will give a smaller inheritance. To each one its inheritance must be given according to the number of people in it.
  • Numbers 26:55 - The land must be divided by lot; and they will inherit in accordance with the names of their ancestral tribes.
  • Numbers 26:56 - Their inheritance must be apportioned by lot among the larger and smaller groups.
  • Numbers 26:57 - And these are the Levites who were numbered according to their families: from Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; from Merari, the family of the Merarites.

  • Numbers 26:59 - Now the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And to Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.
  • Numbers 26:60 - And to Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
  • Numbers 26:61 - But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the Lord.
  • Numbers 26:62 - Those of them who were numbered were 23,000, all males from a month old and upward, for they were not numbered among the Israelites; no inheritance was given to them among the Israelites.

  • Numbers 1:16 - These were the ones chosen from the community, leaders of their ancestral tribes. They were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

  • Numbers 26:9 - Eliab’s descendants were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. It was Dathan and Abiram who as leaders of the community rebelled against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah when they rebelled against the Lord.
  • Numbers 26:10 - The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and Korah at the time that company died, when the fire consumed 250 men. So they became a warning.
  • Numbers 26:11 - But the descendants of Korah did not die.
  • Numbers 26:12 - The Simeonites by their families: from Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; from Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; from Jakin, the family of the Jakinites;
  • Numbers 26:13 - from Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; and from Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
  • Numbers 26:14 - These were the families of the Simeonites, 22,200.
  • Numbers 26:15 - The Gadites by their families: from Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; from Haggi, the family of the Haggites; from Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

  • Numbers 26:17 - from Arod, the family of the Arodites, and from Areli, the family of the Arelites.

  • Numbers 26:22 - These were the families of Judah according to those numbered of them, 76,500.
  • Numbers 26:23 - The Issacharites by their families: from Tola, the family of the Tolaites; from Puah, the family of the Puites;
  • Numbers 26:24 - from Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; and from Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
  • Numbers 26:25 - These were the families of Issachar, according to those numbered of them, 64,300.
  • Numbers 26:26 - The Zebulunites by their families: from Sered, the family of the Sardites; from Elon, the family of the Elonites; from Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
  • Numbers 26:27 - These were the families of the Zebulunites, according to those numbered of them, 60,500.
  • Numbers 26:28 - The descendants of Joseph by their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

  • Numbers 26:33 - Now Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but only daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

  • Numbers 26:59 - Now the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And to Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.
  • Numbers 26:60 - And to Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
  • Numbers 26:61 - But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the Lord.
  • Numbers 26:62 - Those of them who were numbered were 23,000, all males from a month old and upward, for they were not numbered among the Israelites; no inheritance was given to them among the Israelites.
  • Numbers 26:63 - These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the Israelites in the plains of Moab along the Jordan River opposite Jericho.
  • Numbers 26:64 - But there was not a man among these who had been among those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the Israelites in the wilderness of Sinai.
  • Numbers 26:65 - For the Lord had said of them, “They will surely die in the wilderness.” And there was not left a single man of them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
  • Genesis 13:16 - And I will make your descendants like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone is able to count the dust of the earth, then your descendants also can be counted.

  • Genesis 25:1 - Abraham had taken another wife, named Keturah.

  • Genesis 25:5 - Everything he owned Abraham left to his son Isaac.
  • Genesis 25:6 - But while he was still alive, Abraham gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them off to the east, away from his son Isaac.
  • Genesis 25:7 - Abraham lived a total of 175 years.
  • Genesis 25:8 - Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man who had lived a full life. He joined his ancestors.
  • Genesis 25:9 - His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar, the Hethite.
  • Genesis 25:10 - This was the field Abraham had purchased from the sons of Heth. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.
  • Genesis 25:11 - After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac. Isaac lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
  • Genesis 25:12 - This is the account of Abraham’s son Ishmael, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.
  • Genesis 25:13 - These are the names of Ishmael’s sons, by their names according to their records: Nebaioth (Ishmael’s firstborn), Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
  • Genesis 25:14 - Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
  • Genesis 25:15 - Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
  • Genesis 25:16 - These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names by their settlements and their camps – twelve princes according to their clans.
  • Genesis 25:17 - Ishmael lived a total of 137 years. He breathed his last and died; then he joined his ancestors.
  • Genesis 25:18 - His descendants settled from Havilah to Shur, which runs next to Egypt all the way to Asshur. They settled away from all their relatives.
  • Genesis 36:1 - What follows is the account of Esau (also known as Edom).
  • Genesis 36:2 - Esau took his wives from the Canaanites: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
  • Genesis 36:3 - in addition to Basemath the daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
  • Genesis 36:4 - Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,
  • Genesis 36:5 - and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
  • Genesis 36:6 - Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, all the people in his household, his livestock, his animals, and all his possessions which he had acquired in the land of Canaan and went to a land some distance away from Jacob his brother

  • Genesis 36:18 - These were the sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah: chief Jeush, chief Jalam, chief Korah. These were the chiefs descended from Esau’s wife Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
  • Genesis 36:19 - These were the sons of Esau (also known as Edom), and these were their chiefs.
  • Genesis 36:20 - These were the sons of Seir the Horite, who were living in the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
  • Genesis 36:21 - Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, the descendants of Seir in the land of Edom.
  • Genesis 36:22 - The sons of Lotan were Hori and Homam; Lotan’s sister was Timna.
  • Genesis 36:23 - These were the sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
  • Genesis 36:24 - These were the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah (who discovered the hot springs in the wilderness as he pastured the donkeys of his father Zibeon).
  • Genesis 36:25 - These were the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah.
  • Genesis 36:26 - These were the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Keran.
  • Genesis 36:27 - These were the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.
  • Genesis 36:28 - These were the sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
  • Genesis 36:29 - These were the chiefs of the Horites: chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah,
  • Genesis 36:30 - chief Dishon, chief Ezer, chief Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, according to their chief lists in the land of Seir.
  • Genesis 36:31 - These were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king ruled over the Israelites:
  • Genesis 36:32 - Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; the name of his city was Dinhabah.
  • Genesis 36:33 - When Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.
  • Genesis 36:34 - When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
  • Genesis 36:35 - When Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad, who defeated the Midianites in the land of Moab, reigned in his place; the name of his city was Avith.
  • Genesis 36:36 - When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
  • Genesis 36:37 - When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth by the River reigned in his place.
  • Genesis 36:38 - When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.
  • Genesis 36:39 - When Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor died, Hadad reigned in his place; the name of his city was Pau. His wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.
  • Genesis 36:40 - These were the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their families, according to their places, by their names: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth,
  • Genesis 36:41 - chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
  • Genesis 36:42 - chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
  • Genesis 36:43 - chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they possessed. This was Esau, the father of the Edomites.
  • Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
