  • Luke 23:52 - Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body.
  • Luke 23:53 - Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid.
  • Mark 16:2 - Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb

  • Mark 16:7 - But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ ”
  • Luke 9:22 - And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”
  • Luke 24:5 - In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

  • 1 Corinthians 15:17 - And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:18 - Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:19 - If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:20 - But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:21 - For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
  • Luke 24:26 - Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?”
  • Romans 6:4 - We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

  • Matthew 12:40 - For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
  • Hosea 6:2 - After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.
