Warnings from Jesus
1He Mt 18:6-7; Mk 9:42; 1Co 11:19 said to His disciples, “Offenses Or Traps, or Bait-sticks, or Causes of stumbling, or Causes of sin will certainly come, Lit It is impossible for offenses not to come but woe Lk 22:22 to the one they come Mt 13:41 through!
2It would be better for him if a millstone Large stone used for grinding grains into flour were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble. 1Co 8:9
3Be Mt 18:15,21-22 on your guard. If your brother sins, Other mss add against you rebuke Lv 19:17 him, and if he repents, forgive Mt 6:14 him.
4And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
Faith and Duty
6“If you have faith the size of Lit faith like a mustard seed,” Mt 13:31; Mk 4:31; Lk 13:19 the Lord said, “you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
7“Which one of you having a slave tending sheep or plowing will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?
8Instead, will he not tell him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, get ready, Or eat, gird yourself; lit eat, tuck in your robe and serve me while I eat and drink; later you can eat and drink’? Lk 12:35-37
10In the same way, when you have done all that you were commanded, you should say, ‘We are good-for-nothing Jb 22:2-3; 35:7; Mt 25:30; Rm 11:35 slaves; we’ve only done our duty.’ ”
Ten Men Healed
11While traveling to Jerusalem, Lk 9:51 He passed between Or through the middle of Samaria and Galilee. Jn 4:3-4
12As He entered a village, 10 men with serious skin diseases Lv 13:45-46 met Him. They stood at a distance
13and raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, Lk 5:5 have mercy on us! ”
14When He saw them, He told them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” Lv 13:2–14:32; Mt 8:4; Lk 5:14 And while they were going, they were healed. Lit cleansed
15But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. Mt 9:8; Mk 2:12; Lk 2:14; 5:26; Jn 9:24; Ac 4:21; 12:23; Rm 4:20
16He fell facedown 1Sm 20:41; 2Sm 14:22; Mt 17:6; 1Co 14:25 at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. Mt 10:5; Jn 4:9
17Then Jesus said, “Were not 10 cleansed? Where are the nine?
19And He told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has made you well.” Or faith has saved you Mt 9:22; Mk 10:52; Lk 5:20; 18:42
The Coming of the Kingdom
20Being Mt 24:23; Mk 13:21 asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God will come, Lk 19:11; Ac 1:6 He answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with something observable;
21no one will say, Lit they will not say ‘Look here! ’ or ‘There! ’ For you see, the kingdom of God is among you.”
22Then He told the disciples: “The days are coming Dt 32:35; Is 2:12; Jr 7:32; Am 4:2; Lk 5:35; 19:43; 21:6; 23:29 when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you won’t see it. Am 5:18
23They will say to you, Mt 24:23,27; Mk 13:21 ‘Look there! ’ or ‘Look here! ’ Don’t follow or run after them. Lk 21:8
24For as the lightning flashes from horizon to horizon and lights up the sky, so the Son of Man will be in His day. 1Co 1:8
27People went on eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage Lk 20:34-35 until the day Noah boarded the ark, Gn 6:14 and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot: Gn 19:1-26 People went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building.
29But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed Gn 19:24-25 them all.
30It Mt 24:17,39-41; Mk 13:15 will be like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed. Mt 16:27; 24:44; 1Co 1:7; 2Th 1:7; 1Pt 1:7; 4:13
31On that day, a man on the housetop, whose belongings are in the house, must not come down to get them. Likewise the man who is in the field must not turn back.

34I tell you, on that night Lk 1:78-79 two will be in one bed: One will be taken and the other will be left.

He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there also the vultures Ezk 29:5; 32:4; 39:17-20 will be gathered.”
