我曾曰、爾惟寅畏我、受我訓誨、爾之第宅、則不依我所定被毀、但爾黎明而起、自敗厥行、

我说：你只要敬畏我，领受训诲；如此，你的住处不致照我所拟定的除灭。只是你们从早起来，就在一切事上败坏自己。”

我说：‘只要你敬畏我，领受训诲；其住处就不会照我原先所定的被剪除。’然而，他们从早起来就在各样事上败坏自己。

我告斯民曰、爾當寅畏我躬、承我教誨、則不降罰、絶爾居所、然爾惟惡是作、靡有已時、

我諭斯民曰、爾當敬畏我、承受教誨、則在我降諸罰之際、爾之居所尚不致絕、則在我降諸罰之際爾之居所尚不致絕或作如此爾之居宅不致於循我所欲降之罰而毀滅然於凡所為、惟惡是務、惟惡是務或作仍殷勤自敗自壞

Of Jerusalem I thought,‘ Surely you will fear me and accept correction!’ Then her place of refuge would not be destroyed, nor all my punishments come upon her. But they were still eager to act corruptly in all they did.

Here is what I thought about Jerusalem.‘ Surely you will have respect for me. Surely you will accept my warning.’ Then the city you think is safe would not be destroyed. And I would not have to punish you so much. But they still wanted to go on sinning in every way they could.

I said,‘ Surely you will fear me; you will accept correction. Then your dwelling would not be cut off according to all that I have appointed against you.’ But all the more they were eager to make all their deeds corrupt.

I thought,‘ Surely they will have reverence for me now! Surely they will listen to my warnings. Then I won’t need to strike again, destroying their homes.’ But no, they get up early to continue their evil deeds.

I said: You will certainly fear me and accept correction. Then her dwelling place would not be cut off based on all that I had allocated to her. However, they became more corrupt in all their actions.

I said,‘ You will certainly revere Me, You will accept discipline.’ So her dwelling will not be eliminated In accordance with everything that I have stipulated for her. Instead, they were eager to corrupt all their deeds.

I said,‘ Surely you will fear Me, You will receive instruction’— So that her dwelling would not be cut off, Despite everything for which I punished her. But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.

I said, Only fear thou me; receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her: but they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

I thought: You will certainly fear Me and accept correction. Then her dwelling place would not be cut off based on all that I had allocated to her. However, they became more corrupt in all their actions.

I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early,[ and] corrupted all their doings.

I thought,‘ Certainly you will respect me! Now you will accept correction!’ If she had done so, her home would not be destroyed by all the punishments I have threatened. But they eagerly sinned in everything they did.

I said,“ Just fear me. Receive correction, so that her dwelling won’t be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her.” But they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

斯民深陷邪惡、如在基比亞時、上帝必憶其愆、而罰其罪、○

庶猶大家得聞我所欲降之災、則各轉離惡途、致我赦其愆尤罪戾、

我則俾爾居於斯土、即我自昔賜爾列祖之地、迄於永久、

彼曰、當各轉離邪途惡行、居於耶和華錫爾及爾祖之地、自昔迄於永久、

彼不聽命令、不受教誨、不恃耶和華、不親其上帝、

耶利米曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、如爾出降於巴比倫王之牧伯、則可得生、斯邑不焚於火、爾及舉家、亦可生存、

我於葡萄園所為者、又何加焉、冀結佳果、反生野果何也、

曰、倘爾於是日、知關乎平安之事則幸、但今隱於爾目矣、蓋日將至、爾敵必築壘環爾、四週困爾、且擲爾及爾中子女於地、不遺一石於石上、以爾不知眷顧爾之日也、○

則必有君王坐大衛之位、乘車服馬、與其牧伯、及猶大人、耶路撒冷居民、皆由此門入邑、邑亦永存、必有人來自猶大諸邑、與耶路撒冷四周、及便雅憫地、窪地、山地、南土、攜燔祭與他祭、素祭乳香、暨酬恩祭、詣耶和華室、如爾不我聽、不以安息日為聖、於安息日、荷擔而入耶路撒冷門、我必燃火於其門、盡焚耶路撒冷之宮室、不得撲滅、

埃及王廢之、又罰其國、銀百他連得、金一他連得、立其兄以利雅敬、為猶大及耶路撒冷王、易其名曰約雅敬、埃及王尼哥攜其弟約哈斯至埃及、○約雅敬即位時、年二十有五、在耶路撒冷為王、歷十一年、行其上帝耶和華所惡、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒上而攻之、繫之以鏈、攜至巴比倫、尼布甲尼撒亦取耶和華室之器皿、攜至巴比倫、置於己宮、約雅敬其餘事蹟、與其可憎之行、及其不正、俱載於以色列猶大列王紀、子約雅斤嗣位、○約雅斤即位時、年八歲、在耶路撒冷為王、歷三月有十日、行耶和華所惡、歲首尼布甲尼撒遣人攜約雅斤、及耶和華室之珍器、至巴比倫、立約雅斤叔西底家、為猶大及耶路撒冷王、○

恐爾自敗、雕偶以仿諸像、或男或女、

利瑪利子比加在猶大、一日間、殺十二萬人、俱為勇士、因棄其列祖之上帝耶和華也、以法蓮之勇士細基利、殺王子瑪西雅、理王室之押斯利甘、與王相以利加拿、以色列族虜其同宗二十萬人、婦孺與焉、亦掠貨財甚多、攜至撒瑪利亞、

在牀謀惡營邪、迨至黎明、以手有力而行之者、其人禍哉、彼貪田畝而奪之、貪第宅而取之、且虐待其人與家、而據其業、

我傾耳以聽、彼不言正直、無人悔其惡行、曰、噫、我所為何事、彼各行其道、若馬之奔馳於陳、

主不延緩其所許、若有視為延緩者、乃寬忍爾曹、不欲一人沉淪、惟欲人皆改悔、

上帝見世敗壞、凡有血氣者、行為邪僻、○

蓋彼曰、斯乃我民、不行詐偽之子、故為其救主、

故耶和華使亞述王之軍長來攻之、執瑪拿西、繫之以鏈、以鈎鈎之、攜至巴比倫、

此忠誠之事後、亞述王西拿基立侵猶大、圍諸堅城、意欲破之、據為己有、希西家見西拿基立至、擬攻耶路撒冷、
