此乃歡樂之邑、安居無慮、其心自謂惟我而已、我外無他、今奚荒寂、成為獸臥之所、凡經過者、必搖手而嗤笑之、

此乃淫佚之邑、僭稱主母、自謂莫之與京、今變荒蕪、獸伏其間、凡過之者、必作怨憤之聲、搖首不已。

此邑素淫樂、安居無畏、心中曰、惟有我、我外無他、忽變荒蕪、獸伏之處、凡過之者、俱戲笑搖首、

This is the city of revelry that lived in safety. She said to herself,“ I am the one! And there is none besides me.” What a ruin she has become, a lair for wild beasts! All who pass by her scoff and shake their fists.

Nineveh was a carefree city. It lived in safety. It said to itself,“ I am the one! No one is greater than I am.” But it has been destroyed. Wild animals make their home there. All those who pass by laugh and shake their fists at it.

This is the exultant city that lived securely, that said in her heart,“ I am, and there is no one else.” What a desolation she has become, a lair for wild beasts! Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.

This is the boisterous city, once so secure.“ I am the greatest!” it boasted.“ No other city can compare with me!” But now, look how it has become an utter ruin, a haven for wild animals. Everyone passing by will laugh in derision and shake a defiant fist.

This is the jubilant city that lives in security, that says to herself: I exist, and there is no one else. What a desolation she has become, a place for wild animals to lie down! Everyone who passes by her scoffs and shakes his fist.

This is the presumptuous city That dwells securely, Who says in her heart,“ I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, A resting place for animals! Everyone who passes by her will hiss And wave his hand in contempt.

This is the rejoicing city That dwelt securely, That said in her heart,“ I am it, and there is none besides me.” How has she become a desolation, A place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her Shall hiss and shake his fist.

This is the joyous city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

This is the self-assured city that lives in security, that thinks to herself: I exist, and there is no one else. What a desolation she has become, a place for wild animals to lie down! Everyone who passes by her jeers and shakes his fist.

This[ is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I[ am], and[ there is] none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss,[ and] wag his hand.

This is how the once-proud city will end up– the city that was so secure. She thought to herself,“ I am unique! No one can compare to me!” What a heap of ruins she has become, a place where wild animals live! Everyone who passes by her taunts her and shakes his fist.

“人子啊，你去告诉泰尔王，主耶和华这样说，“‘你心里高傲，说，我是神，我坐在海中神的宝座上。你虽然自以为像神，但事实上你不是神，不过是人。

你声称要永远做王后，不把这些事放在心上，也不思想以后的结局。“淫逸安舒的人啊，听着！你以为天地间唯你独尊，你必不致寡居，也不会遭丧子之痛。

你的创伤无法救治，你的伤势极其严重。听见这消息的人必鼓掌欢呼，因为谁没受过你无休止的暴虐呢？

你们这座充满喧闹、骚动和欢乐的城啊，你们中间被杀的人既非丧身刀下，也非死于战场。

我必摧毁这城，使它令人惊惧、嗤笑，它的满目疮痍必令路人惊惧、嗤笑。

从前人烟稠密的城，现在何其荒凉！从前扬威万邦的强国，现在竟像寡妇一样。从前在诸省做公主的，现在却沦为奴婢。

路人都拍掌嘲笑你。他们向耶路撒冷城摇头，嗤笑道：“这就是那被誉为完美无瑕、普世喜悦的城吗？”

在杀戮你的人面前，你还能自称为神吗？在杀你的人手中，你不过是人，不是神。

各国商人都嗤笑你，你那可怕的末日来临了，你将永远不复存在。’”

过路的人都嘲笑祂，摇着头说：

她过去怎样自炫自耀、奢华荒淫，现在也要让她怎样痛苦哀伤。因为她心里说，‘我贵为女王，不是寡妇，绝不会经历哀伤。’所以在一天之内，她的灾祸，就是死亡、哀伤和饥荒要同时临到她身上。她要被火烧尽，因为审判她的主上帝能力伟大。“那些曾与她通奸享乐的君王目睹焚烧她的烟，必为她哭泣哀号。他们对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就远远地站着说，“‘强大坚固的巴比伦城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！因为审判顷刻间临到你了。’“地上的商人也为她哀伤，因为再也没有人购买他们的货物了。他们的金、银、宝石、珍珠、细麻布、紫布、丝绸、朱红布、各样香木、象牙器具，贵重木材、铜、铁、大理石制品，以及肉桂、豆蔻、香料、香膏、乳香、酒、油、细面粉、小麦、牛、羊、马、车、仆婢和人口都没有人购买了。他们呼喊，‘巴比伦啊！你贪爱的美物已离你而去了，一切珍馐百味、奢侈华丽的东西都消失殆尽，无影无踪。’“靠贩卖这些货物给她而致富的商人对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就站在远处为她哀伤哭号，说，‘身穿紫色和朱红色的细麻布衣服，以黄金、宝石、珍珠为装饰的大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！因为顷刻间你这一切的繁华都化为乌有了。’所有船主、乘客、水手及靠海为生的人都远远地站着，看见烧她的烟，就说，‘有哪一座城能与她相比呢？’他们又把尘土撒在头上，哀伤哭泣，喊着说，“‘这大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！所有经营航运的都因她的奢华而发了财，可是顷刻间她却沦为废墟了！’

主的怒气像乌云一样遮盖锡安城，祂使以色列的荣美从天上坠下。祂发怒的时候并不顾念自己的脚凳。

主完成在锡安山和耶路撒冷要做的事后，必惩罚心里狂妄、眼目高傲的亚述王。因为亚述王说：“我靠自己的力量和智慧成就了此事，因为我很聪明。我废除列国的疆界，掳掠他们的财物，像勇士一样征服他们的君王。我夺取列国的财物，好像探囊取物；我征服天下，不过是手到擒来；无人反抗，无人吭声。”

生活安逸的妇女啊，来听我的声音！无忧无虑的女子啊，要侧耳听我的言语！

我必把以色列人从我赐给他们的土地上铲除，并离弃我为自己的名而使之圣洁的这殿，使以色列人在万民中成为笑柄，被人嘲讽。这殿虽然宏伟，但将来经过的人必惊讶，讥笑说，‘耶和华为什么这样对待这地方和这殿呢？’

你要告诉他，主耶和华这样说，“‘埃及王法老啊，你这躺卧在自己河中的大怪物，我要与你为敌。你说这尼罗河属于你，是你为自己造的。

狂风向他拍掌，呼啸着吹走他。

他们必这样讥笑巴比伦王：“暴君灭亡了！暴政结束了！耶和华折断了邪恶君主的权杖。

义人看见必心生敬畏，他们必嘲笑说：“看啊，这就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的财富和以残暴手段获得的权势。”
