The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It is made overflowing with fatness, With the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

And he said,“ Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.

Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand:A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations.

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light.It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him!Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—

“ Behold, I am vile; What shall I answer You? I lay my hand over my mouth.Once I have spoken, but I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Then He said to him,“ A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited,‘ Come, for all things are now ready.’

“ And as for you, son of man, thus says the Lord God,‘ Speak to every sort of bird and to every beast of the field:“ Assemble yourselves and come; Gather together from all sides to My sacrificial meal Which I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrificial meal on the mountains of Israel, That you may eat flesh and drink blood.You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, Drink the blood of the princes of the earth, Of rams and lambs, Of goats and bulls, All of them fatlings of Bashan.You shall eat fat till you are full, And drink blood till you are drunk, At My sacrificial meal Which I am sacrificing for you.You shall be filled at My table With horses and riders, With mighty men And with all the men of war,” says the Lord GOD.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; The earth feared and was still,When God arose to judgment, To deliver all the oppressed of the earth. Selah

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it,“ Why have you made me like this?”

Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;She has slaughtered her meat, She has mixed her wine, She has also furnished her table.She has sent out her maidens, She cries out from the highest places of the city,“ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,“ Come, eat of my bread And drink of the wine I have mixed.Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.

So I said:“ Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land; The time has come, A day of trouble is near, And not of rejoicing in the mountains.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Again, he sent out other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’

And when a relative of the dead, with one who will burn the bodies, picks up the bodies to take them out of the house, he will say to one inside the house,“ Are there any more with you?” Then someone will say,“ None.” And he will say,“ Hold your tongue! For we dare not mention the name of the Lord.”

‘ Behold, the day! Behold, it has come! Doom has gone out; The rod has blossomed, Pride has budded.

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven,“ Come and gather together for the supper of the great God,that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”

He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.“ For by strength no man shall prevail.The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth.“ He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

“ For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ That will leave them neither root nor branch.

Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought,“ Something has happened to him; he is unclean, surely he is unclean.”
