Their wealth will be plundered, their houses demolished. Though they build houses, they will not live in them; though they plant vineyards, they will not drink the wine.”

爾雖播種、不能有秋、雖踐橄欖、不得以油沐體、雖釀新酒、不得自飲醇醪、

爾將聘妻、而他人與寢、爾將建宅、而不遑居處、栽植園圃、不摘其果。

爾遍四境、作惡孔多、故爾之貨財、必見攘奪、不復償爾、我使之然。

爾將植葡萄園而治之、為蟲所食、不得收其果、而飲其酒。

亦使遠方之強暴攘奪之、蔑視之、

在郇邑聞彼哀歌曰、我見虜、離故土、我室已毀、不能容膝、含羞蒙垢。

當斯之時、凡行不及踰閾、強據是為、誑辭是尚、以其所得、藏於主人之室者、必降以罰。

殘賊列邦者、猶獅出林而至、彼出其所、必使爾地荒蕪、城邑傾圮、無人居處。

故震怒憤烈、降災於眾、視其所為而報之、我耶和華已言之矣。

食爾餱糧、戮爾子女、宰爾牛羊、斫爾葡萄、以及無花果樹、毀爾所恃之城垣、刃擊居民。

故緣爾故、人將耕郇邑之地、盡成田疇、耶路撒冷悉變瓦礫、斯殿之山將為林藪。

耶和華使斯土荒蕪、國家傾覆、居民離散、若庶人若祭司、若僕若主、若婢女、若主母、若鬻諸人、若購於人、若貸人以金、若借人之金、若得子母、若納子母者、俱必流離失所、斯地必為邱墟、刧掠殆盡、耶和華已言之矣。

強據宅第、多得土田、不遺隙地、推其意、幾欲獨攬遍境、深可疾也、萬有之主耶和華諭示於我曰、彼之華堂廣廈、悉變荒蕪、不留一人、

人必建宅第以棲身、植葡萄園而食果。非我建屋、他人居之、非我栽圃、他人食之、選民之壽、比諸樹木、恆食其力。

我怒之日、彼棄金銀於逵衢、欲救其命、欲果其腹、欲安其心、亦屬無益、昔作惡以得之、今使之顛躓。

爾畜之所生、爾土之所產、俱必並吞、爾穀與酒及油、暨牛羊之所息、取之殆盡、迨爾危亡。

耶路撒冷城變為瓦礫。野犬藏於其中、猶大諸邑荒蕪、無人居處、我使之然。

我曰主歟、將至何時、曰、迨乎城垣傾圮、土地荒蕪、室廬寂寞、無人居之、

殘賊眾多、毀我園囿、蹂躪我業、使我良田、變為曠野。邦國荒蕪、號呼於我前、國雖荒蕪、人猶不以為意。曠野童山、寇賊已至、遍於四境、民罹鋒刃、被吞噬、不享綏安、我使之然。所播者麥、所穫者荊。雖勞無益、見土產則蒙羞、我怒震烈、故使之然。○

城邑破於陸續、帷帳毀於俄傾、遍地荒蕪。
