萬軍之耶和華云、四月五月、七月十月、禁食之期、在猶大家、將為喜樂歡忭之期、欣悅之節、爾宜誠實和平是好、

四五七十月間、猶大家禁食之時、將為欣喜歡忭之節期、惟爾所專務者、真實和平而已、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主如是云、四月禁食之日、五月禁食之日、七月禁之日、十月禁食之日、將在猶大族中、變為歡樂欣喜之日、變為佳良之節期、惟爾當好真實與和平、

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.”

“ You have established special times to go without eating. They are your fasts in the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months. They will become days of joy. They will be happy times for Judah. It will happen if you take delight in telling the truth and bringing about peace.”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The traditional fasts and times of mourning you have kept in early summer, midsummer, autumn, and winter are now ended. They will become festivals of joy and celebration for the people of Judah. So love truth and peace.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.”

“ The Lord of armies says this:‘ The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, jubilation, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth, The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth, Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.’

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace.

“ The Lord of Hosts says this: The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.”

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth[ month], and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

“ The LORD who rules over all says,‘ The fast of the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months will become joyful and happy, pleasant feasts for the house of Judah, so love truth and peace.’

七月中，王室后裔以利沙玛的孙子，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利带着十个人来，击杀了基大利和同他在米斯巴的犹大人与迦勒底人，把他们杀死。

他作王第九年十月初十，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军前来攻击耶路撒冷，对着城安营，四围筑堡垒攻城，

你将我的哀哭变为跳舞，脱去我的麻衣，为我披上喜乐，

问万军之耶和华殿中的祭司，又问先知：“我当如历年以来所行，在五月哭泣斋戒吗？”

耶和华救赎的民必归回，歌唱来到锡安；永远的快乐必归到他们头上，他们必得着欢喜快乐，忧伤叹息尽都逃避。

叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来，就可以终身在他面前，无所惧怕地用圣洁和公义事奉他。

四月初九，城里的饥荒非常严重，当地的百姓都没有粮食。城被攻破，士兵全都在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就往亚拉巴逃去。

以这两日为犹太人摆脱仇敌得享平安、转忧为喜、转悲为乐的吉日，并在这两日设宴欢乐，彼此馈送礼物，周济穷人。

在那日，你要说：“耶和华啊，我要称谢你！因为你虽然向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消；你又安慰了我。

王的谕旨和敕令所到的各省各城，犹太人都欢喜快乐，摆设宴席，以那日为吉日。国中许多民族的人因惧怕犹太人，就自称为犹太人。

耶和华救赎的民必归回，歌唱来到锡安；永恒的喜乐必归到他们头上。他们必得着欢喜快乐，忧伤叹息尽都逃避。

他们来到锡安的高处歌唱，因耶和华的宏恩而喜乐洋溢，就是五谷、新酒和新的油，并羔羊和牛犊。他们必像有水浇灌的园子，一点也不再有愁烦。那时，少女必欢乐跳舞；年轻的、年老的，都一同欢乐；因为我要使他们的悲哀变为欢喜，并要安慰他们，使他们的愁烦转为喜乐。

因为，上帝救众人的恩典已经显明出来，训练我们除去不敬虔的心和世俗的情欲，在今世过克己、正直、敬虔的生活，

城外有犬类、行邪术的、淫乱的、杀人的、拜偶像的，以及所有喜爱和行虚谎的人。

七月中，王的大臣，就是王室后裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利带着十个人，来到米斯巴，亚希甘的儿子基大利那里；他们在米斯巴一同吃饭。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同他来的那十个人起来，用刀击杀沙番的孙子，亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王所立为当地省长的，把他杀死。以实玛利把所有在米斯巴与基大利一起的犹大人，以及他们在那里所遇见的迦勒底人和士兵都杀了。

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十，在巴比伦王面前侍立的尼布撒拉旦护卫长进入耶路撒冷，他焚烧了耶和华的殿、王宫和耶路撒冷的房屋；用火焚烧所有大户人家的房屋。跟随护卫长的迦勒底全军拆毁了耶路撒冷四围的城墙。那时尼布撒拉旦护卫长将百姓中最穷的和城里所剩下的百姓，并那些投降巴比伦王的人，以及剩下的工匠，都掳去了。
