These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts;

Here is what you must do. Speak the truth to one another. Make true and wise decisions in your courts.

These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;

But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace.

These are the things which you shall do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace at your gates.

These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;

These are the things that ye shall do: speak ye every man the truth with his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates;

“ The LORD of Armies says this:‘ Make fair decisions. Show faithful love and compassion to one another.

Therefore, putting away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another.

The one who lives blamelessly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart—

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue, only a moment.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.”

Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance. And don’t start saying to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.The ax is already at the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”“ What then should we do?” the crowds were asking him.He replied to them,“ The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same.”Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they asked him,“ Teacher, what should we do?”He told them,“ Don’t collect any more than what you have been authorized.”Some soldiers also questioned him,“ What should we do?” He said to them,“ Don’t take money from anyone by force or false accusation, and be satisfied with your wages.”

Whoever speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.

The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.

“ Do not steal. Do not act deceptively or lie to one another.

This means one must not transgress against and take advantage of a brother or sister in this manner, because the Lord is an avenger of all these offenses, as we also previously told and warned you.

They bent their tongues like their bows; lies and not faithfulness prevail in the land, for they proceed from one evil to another, and they do not take me into account. This is the LORD’s declaration.Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don’t trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander.Each one betrays his friend; no one tells the truth. They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they wear themselves out doing wrong.

Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be sober-minded and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct;for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thoughts.

For the wealthy of the city are full of violence, and its residents speak lies; the tongues in their mouths are deceitful.

Your own eyes have seen every great work the LORD has done.“ Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,

Hear the word of the LORD, people of Israel, for the LORD has a case against the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth, no faithful love, and no knowledge of God in the land!Cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another.

Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.

His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, he will not execute justice by what he hears with his ears,but he will judge the poor righteously and execute justice for the oppressed of the land. He will strike the land with a scepter from his mouth, and he will kill the wicked with a command from his lips.Righteousness will be a belt around his hips; faithfulness will be a belt around his waist.The wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat. The calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf will be together, and a child will lead them.The cow and the bear will graze, their young ones will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like cattle.An infant will play beside the cobra’s pit, and a toddler will put his hand into a snake’s den.They will not harm or destroy each other on my entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is filled with water.

But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

“ And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you except to fear the LORD your God by walking in all his ways, to love him, and to worship the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul?Keep the LORD’s commands and statutes I am giving you today, for your own good.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars— their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Hate evil and love good; establish justice at the city gate. Perhaps the LORD, the God of Armies, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
