And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?

And when you eat and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?

And even now in your holy festivals, aren’t you eating and drinking just to please yourselves?

When you eat and drink, don’t you eat and drink simply for yourselves?

And when ye eat, and when ye drink, do not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

And now when you eat and drink, are you not doing so for yourselves?’”

When you eat, and when you drink, don’t you eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

So when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat.As you eat, some of you go ahead and eat your own private meals. Because of this, one person stays hungry and another gets drunk.

They offer sacrifices as gifts to me. They eat the meat of the animals they bring. But the Lord is not pleased with any of this. He will remember the evil things they have done. He will punish them for their sins. And they will return to Egypt.

So eat and drink and do everything else for the glory of God.

Do everything you say or do in the name of the Lord Jesus. Always give thanks to God the Father through Christ.

You won’t pour out wine offerings to the Lord. Your sacrifices won’t please him. They’ll be like the bread people eat when someone dies. Everyone who eats those sacrifices will be“ unclean.” They themselves will have to eat that kind of food. They can’t bring it into the Lord’ s temple.

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Do not consider how handsome or tall he is. I have not chosen him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outside of a person. But the Lord looks at what is in the heart.”

You eat the bread and drink the cup. When you do this, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.Eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in the right way. Don’t do it in a way that isn’t worthy of him. If you do, you will be guilty. You’ll be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.Everyone should take a careful look at themselves before they eat the bread and drink from the cup.Whoever eats and drinks must recognize the body of Christ. If they don’t, judgment will come upon them.

Use the silver to buy anything you like. It can be cattle or sheep. It can be any kind of wine. In fact, it can be anything else you wish. Then you and your family can eat there in the sight of the Lord your God. You can be filled with joy.

A human heart is more dishonest than anything else. It can’t be healed. Who can understand it?The Lord says,“ I look deep down inside human hearts. I see what is in people’s minds. I reward each person in keeping with their conduct. I bless them based on what they have done.”

They ate and drank with great joy that day. They did it in front of the Lord. Then they announced a second time that Solomon was king. He was the son of David. They anointed Solomon in front of the Lord. They anointed him to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

You and your families will eat at the place the Lord your God will choose. He will be with you there. You will find joy in everything you have done. That’s because he has blessed you.
