謂萬軍之耶和華室中之祭司、與先知曰、我於五月間、仍當哭泣齋戒、循我歷年所行乎、

萬有之主耶和華殿中、有祭司先知、則問之曰、我歷年以來、於五月間離世故、哀痛迫切、今當復遵此例否、

並問諸祭司在萬有之主殿中者、及諸先知曰、我歷年以來、在五月間、號哭齋戒、齋戒或作離俗今猶當循此以行否、

by asking the priests of the house of the Lord Almighty and the prophets,“ Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They went to the prophets and priests at the Lord’ s temple. They asked them,“ Should we mourn and go without eating in the fifth month? That’s what we’ve done for many years.”

saying to the priests of the house of the Lord of hosts and the prophets,“ Should I weep and abstain in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They were to ask this question of the prophets and the priests at the Temple of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ Should we continue to mourn and fast each summer on the anniversary of the Temple’s destruction, as we have done for so many years?”

by asking the priests who were at the house of the LORD of Armies as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

speaking to the priests who belong to the house of the Lord of armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Shall I weep in the fifth month and fast, as I have done these many years?”

and to ask the priests who were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month and fast as I have done for so many years?”

and to speak unto the priests of the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking the priests who were at the house of the Lord of Hosts as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

[ And] to speak unto the priests which[ were] in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking both the priests of the temple of the LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL and the prophets,“ Should we weep in the fifth month, fasting as we have done over the years?”

and to speak to the priests of the house of Yahweh of Armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”

“万军之耶和华如此说：四月、五月禁食的日子，七月、十月禁食的日子，必变为犹大家欢喜快乐的日子和欢乐的节期；所以你们要喜爱诚实与和平。”

祭司的嘴里当存知识，人也当由他口中寻求律法，因为他是万军之耶和华的使者。

你们亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！你们要愁苦、悲哀、哭泣，将喜笑变作悲哀，欢乐变作愁闷。务要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你们升高。

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初七日，巴比伦王的臣仆、护卫长尼布撒拉旦来到耶路撒冷，用火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，又焚烧耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大户家的房屋。

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十日，在巴比伦王面前侍立的护卫长尼布撒拉旦进入耶路撒冷，用火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，又焚烧耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大户家的房屋。跟从护卫长迦勒底的全军就拆毁耶路撒冷四围的城墙。

侍奉耶和华的祭司要在廊子和祭坛中间哭泣，说：“耶和华啊，求你顾惜你的百姓，不要使你的产业受羞辱，列邦管辖他们。为何容列国的人说：‘他们的神在哪里呢？’”

夫妻不可彼此亏负，除非两相情愿，暂时分房，为要专心祷告方可；以后仍要同房，免得撒但趁着你们情不自禁，引诱你们。

去见祭司利未人，并当时的审判官，求问他们，他们必将判语指示你。他们在耶和华所选择的地方指示你的判语，你必照着他们所指教你的一切话谨守遵行。要按他们所指教你的律法，照他们所断定的去行；他们所指示你的判语，你不可偏离左右。

“你要宣告国内的众民和祭司，说：‘你们这七十年，在五月、七月禁食悲哀，岂是丝毫向我禁食吗？

境内一家一家地都必悲哀。大卫家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。拿单家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。利未家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。示每家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。其余的各家，男的独在一处，女的独在一处。”

当那日，主万军之耶和华叫人哭泣哀号，头上光秃，身披麻布。谁知，人倒欢喜快乐，宰牛杀羊，吃肉喝酒，说：“我们吃喝吧！因为明天要死了。”

省长尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，并教训百姓的利未人，对众民说：“今日是耶和华你们神的圣日，不要悲哀哭泣。”这是因为众民听见律法书上的话都哭了；又对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”于是利未人使众民静默，说：“今日是圣日；不要作声，也不要忧愁。”

“万军之耶和华如此说：你要向祭司问律法，

耶稣对他们说：“新郎和陪伴之人同在的时候，陪伴之人岂能哀恸呢？但日子将到，新郎要离开他们，那时候他们就要禁食。

哭有时，笑有时；哀恸有时，跳舞有时；

他们要使我的民知道圣俗的分别，又使他们分辨洁净的和不洁净的。有争讼的事，他们应当站立判断，要按我的典章判断。在我一切的节期必守我的律法、条例，也必以我的安息日为圣日。

这月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，身穿麻衣，头蒙灰尘。以色列人就与一切外邦人离绝，站着承认自己的罪恶和列祖的罪孽。那日的四分之一站在自己的地方念耶和华他们神的律法书，又四分之一认罪，敬拜耶和华他们的神。

他们要将你的典章教训雅各，将你的律法教训以色列。他们要把香焚在你面前，把全牲的燔祭献在你的坛上。

我的民因无知识而灭亡。你弃掉知识，我也必弃掉你，使你不再给我作祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘记你的儿女。
