“‘ When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the Lord Almighty.

万军之耶和华说：“我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

万军之耶和华说：我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

万军之耶和华说：我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

祂说，‘我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听。

我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；照样，将来他们呼求我，我也不听。这是万军之耶和华说的。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

萬軍之耶和華說：我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

萬軍之耶和華說：我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽！

祂說，『我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。

我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；照樣，將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

『我呼喚，他們既怎樣不聽，那麼他們呼求，我也就照樣不聞了』：這是萬軍之永恆主說的。

萬軍之耶和華說：『既然我呼喚他們，他們不聽，那麼他們呼喚我，我也不聽。

萬軍之耶和華曰、我呼之、而彼不聽、彼呼我、我亦不聽、

萬有之主耶和華曰、昔我諭眾、眾不聽從、今眾籲我、我亦不聽、

萬有之主曰、我呼彼、彼不聽、彼籲我、我亦不聽、

“ When I called, they did not listen,” says the Lord.“ So when they called, I would not listen.

“ As I called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts,

“ Since they refused to listen when I called to them, I would not listen when they called to me, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Just as he had called, and they would not listen, so when they called, I would not listen, says the LORD of Armies.

And just as He called and they would not listen, so they called and I would not listen,” says the Lord of armies;

Therefore it happened, that just as He proclaimed and they would not hear, so they called out and I would not listen,” says the Lord of hosts.

And it is come to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear, so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said Jehovah of hosts;

Just as He had called, and they would not listen, so when they called, I would not listen,” says the Lord of Hosts.

Therefore it is come to pass,[ that] as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

“‘ It then came about that just as I cried out, but they would not obey, so they will cry out, but I will not listen,’ the LORD LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL had said.

It has come to pass that, as he called, and they refused to listen, so they will call, and I will not listen,” said Yahweh of Armies;

But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke,I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.“ Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me,

Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague.”

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!

Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them.

Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. At that time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done.

Hear me, my people, and I will warn you— if you would only listen to me, Israel!You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.“ But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said,‘ We will not walk in it.’I appointed watchmen over you and said,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But you said,‘ We will not listen.’

Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.

Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading,‘ Sir, open the door for us.’“ But he will answer,‘ I don’t know you or where you come from.’

“ Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Have you come to inquire of me? As surely as I live, I will not let you inquire of me, declares the Sovereign Lord.’

If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.

and said,“ If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes.The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

“ Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?

“ Later the others also came.‘ Lord, Lord,’ they said,‘ open the door for us!’“ But he replied,‘ Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,‘ Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
