剛愎厥心、同於鐵石、不聽法度、我耶和華、以我神感古先知、遣之告眾、惟彼不聽、故我萬有之主耶和華、震怒特甚。

鐵石其心、不聽法律、與萬軍之耶和華以其神藉古先知所傳之言、緣此、萬軍之耶和華大發其怒、

They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.

They made their hearts as hard as the hardest stone. They wouldn’t listen to the law. They wouldn’t pay attention to the Lord’ s messages. So the Lord who rules over all was very angry. After all, his Spirit had spoken to his people through the earlier prophets.

加以訓誨、使服爾律例、彼妄自誇大、不從爾命、爾之法度、遵之者則得生、彼故犯之、強項難馴、背命不聽。爾之恆忍、歷年已久、以爾之神、感諸先知、訓迪斯民、彼不聽從、故爾使異邦人敗之。

彼譏上帝之使、藐視其命、侮其先知、干耶和華震怒、不復援手、

我賦以一心、惟新其神、去其頑梗之心、賜以易化之心、

以新心賜爾、去其頑梗之性、賜以易化之心、

剛愎性成、我遣爾、以我耶和華上帝之命告之、

任斯民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視耳聽心悟、遷改而得醫焉、

我以色列眾犯爾律法、不遵爾命、我既獲罪、故爾僕摩西律例所載之咒詛、臨於我躬、爾素責我、及我士師、必降大災、今已應矣、降罰耶路撒冷、較天下民尤嚴、

惟以色列族、剛愎性成、不聽我命、不從爾言。我使爾容甚剛、顙甚堅、與彼無異、我使爾額堅剛、過於鐵石、彼悖逆之流、毋庸懼之、勿畏其威。

遺道傍者、猶人聽道、魔鬼即至、由其心奪之、恐信而得救、

蓋此民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視、耳聽、心悟、遷改而我醫之、

爾強項塞心充耳之人、恆逆聖神、爾祖所行、爾亦若是、孰有先知而爾祖不窘逐者乎、昔爾祖殺預言義者將至之人、今義者至、爾即解而誅之、

猶太人殺主耶穌、及諸先知、又窘逐我儕、不悅於上帝、而與眾人敵、我欲訓異邦人使得救、彼阻尼之、如是厥罪貫盈、終必罹罰、

昔耶路撒冷及四周之邑、南方平原、隨在有民居處、無不安綏、我耶和華使古先知、不既言之詳乎、

上帝具至智、有大能、違之者烏能得福。

蓋此民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視、耳聽、心悟、遷改而我醫之焉、

惡訓言而不守、棄我道其如遺兮、

猶大王希西家、與猶大庶民、未嘗加斯人以殺戮、惟敬畏耶和華、求其恩祐、故災害不果降、我今若殺耶利米、必罹禍災。

耶和華與、爾之鑒觀不爽、加以督責、彼不哀慟、殲滅殆盡、彼不受教、彼顏堅於石、不肯歸誠。

猶大人之罪、錄以鐵筆、其鋒堅剛無匹、銘於心中、書於壇角。

故彼目視而不明、耳聞而不悟、不克遷改而得罪赦、

詭詐百出、自棄者為所惑、蓋彼不願受真理致得救、為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、使不信真理、悅不義者、悉定厥罪、

以古預言、原非臆說、乃上帝聖人、感於聖神而言之、

夷考基督之神、牖先知衷、預明基督何時遘艱苦、何時受榮光、先知既得默示、言其傳道、非獨為己、乃為我儕、今蒙天降聖神、使宣福音、以傳斯道與爾、天使亦欲詳察斯道、

夫光臨世、而人作惡、愛暗過於光、此所以定罪也、作不善者惡光、而不就光、恐所行見責、

我知爾剛愎性成、鐵項銅額、
