我夜間觀看，忽見一個人騎着紅馬，站在窪地的桃金孃樹中間；他後面還有紅馬、栗色馬、和白馬。

我就觀看，見有一匹白馬。騎馬的執有弓；有華冠賜給他。他就出來，得勝着，還要得勝。羔羊揭開了第二個印的時候，我聽見第二隻活物說：『你來。』就另有一匹馬出來，是紅色的。騎馬的得了權柄，可以從地上將和平奪取了去，使人彼此屠殺。又有一把大刀給了他。羔羊揭開了第三個印的時候，我聽見第三隻活物說：『你來。』我就觀看，見有一匹黑馬。騎馬的執有天秤在手裏。我聽見在四隻活物中間彷彿有聲音說：『麥子一升「一日工錢」；大麥三升「一日工錢」；油和酒別蹧蹋了。』

那套着黑馬的車出來、向北方而去；那套着白馬的出來、向西方而去；那套着斑點馬的出來、向南方而去；

於是我在靈境中，天使把我帶走到荒野去。我看見有一個婦人騎着朱紅色的獸、滿了褻瀆之名、有七個頭和十個角。

另有個迹象在天上現出來：有一條大紅龍有七個頭十個角；那七個頭戴着七個冠冕；
