It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’

That is what he will do. He will be dressed in majesty as if it were his royal robe. He will sit as king on his throne. He will also be a priest there. So he will combine the positions of king and priest in himself.’

It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

Yes, he will build the Temple of the Lord. Then he will receive royal honor and will rule as king from his throne. He will also serve as priest from his throne, and there will be perfect harmony between his two roles.’

But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace;and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh:for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.

who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable.Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself.For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, appointeth a Son, perfected for evermore.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.Truth springeth out of the earth; And righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

When therefore he was gone out, Jesus saith, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him;and God shall glorify him in himself, and straightway shall he glorify him.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.

He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne.

but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, Thy glory and thy majesty.And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness and righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

And he shall stand, and shall feed his flock in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

yea, take of them silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah that hath mercy on thee.
