The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua:

Then the angel spoke to Joshua. He said,

And the angel of the Lord solemnly assured Joshua,

Then the angel of the Lord spoke very solemnly to Jeshua and said,

Then the angel of the LORD charged Joshua,

And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying,

And the angel of Jehovah protested unto Joshua, saying,

Yahweh’s angel protested to Joshua, saying,

“ This Moses whom they rejected, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.“ This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear.’“ This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us,

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—

“ Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.

And he blessed Joseph, and said:“ God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven,and said:“ By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—

For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting, saying,“ Obey My voice.”

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

And behold, the Lord stood above it and said:“ I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,“ Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”
