“ But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.Then the king said to the servants,‘ Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me,“ Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”And I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” So he said to me,“ These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,“ May the good Lord provide atonement for everyonewho prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.”And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
