“ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, the man who is my partner,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ Strike down the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn against the lambs.

Sword, awake against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.

“ Awake, sword, against My Shepherd, And against the Man, My Associate,” Declares the Lord of armies.“ Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones.

“ Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith Jehovah of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

Sword, awake against My shepherd, against the man who is My associate— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will also turn My hand against the little ones.

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. (niv)

“‘ My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. (niv)

So I shepherded the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favor and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock. (niv)

“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior. (niv)

“‘ Alas, sword of the Lord, how long till you rest? Return to your sheath; cease and be still.’ (niv)

Then everyone deserted him and fled. (niv)

“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” (niv)

“ A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. (niv)

I and the Father are one.” (niv)

“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. (niv)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (niv)

He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. (niv)

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (niv)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning. (niv)

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, (niv)

This is what the Lord my God says:“ Shepherd the flock marked for slaughter. (niv)

“ I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,“ who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (niv)

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. (niv)

“ Seventy‘ sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.“ Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven‘ sevens,’ and sixty- two‘ sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.After the sixty- two‘ sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. (niv)

“ The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”( which means“ God with us”). (niv)

All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” (niv)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (niv)

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (niv)

I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken. (niv)

when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.” (niv)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.“ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.“ I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father— and I lay down my life for the sheep.I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life— only to take it up again.No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north.Then all people will know that I the Lord have drawn my sword from its sheath; it will not return again.’ (niv)

In his defense Jesus said to them,“ My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. (niv)

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. (niv)

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, (niv)

“ Son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished—sharpened for the slaughter, polished to flash like lightning!“‘ Shall we rejoice in the scepter of my royal son? The sword despises every such stick. (niv)

“ And you, son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says about the Ammonites and their insults:“‘ A sword, a sword, drawn for the slaughter, polished to consume and to flash like lightning! (niv)

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (niv)

Jesus answered,“ I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.”This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled:“ I have not lost one of those you gave me.” (niv)

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds. (niv)

and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood— to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; (niv)

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.“ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” (niv)

Jesus answered:“ Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say,‘ Show us the Father’?Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. (niv)

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me— so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. (niv)

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (niv)

In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. (niv)

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. which said:“ Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.” (niv)

And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,“ Let all God’s angels worship him.”In speaking of the angels he says,“ He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.”But about the Son he says,“ Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”He also says,“ In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. “ See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. (niv)

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one.’Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said:“ Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. (niv)

It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord. (niv)

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. (niv)

He said to me:“ It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. (niv)

Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:“ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.Then I said,‘ Here I am— it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’”First he said,“ Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”— though they were offered in accordance with the law.Then he said,“ Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second.And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast— all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. (niv)

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (niv)
