我甚恼怒那安逸的列国，因我从前稍微恼怒我民，他们就加害过分。’

我深不悅安逸之列邦、蓋我微怒斯民、彼則加以苦難、

昔我微怒斯民、異邦安佚之人、加我民以患難、我深為不悅、

我向安佚之列國、大震我怒、蓋我昔微怒斯民、而彼加害過甚、

and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’

And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little, they furthered the disaster.

I am fiercely angry with the nations that are at ease, for I was a little angry, but they made the destruction worse.

But I am very angry with the nations who are carefree; for while I was only a little angry, they furthered the disaster.”

我在怒气涨溢的时候，曾经短暂地向你掩面，但我要以永远的慈爱怜悯你。”这是耶和华你的救赎主说的。

我对我的子民发怒，使我的继业被亵渎，又把他们交在你的手中；你却没有对他们施怜悯，即使对老年人，你也把你的轭重重地压在他们身上。你曾说：‘我必永远作王后！’你不把这些事放在心上，也不顾念事情的结局。“因此，你这骄奢的人哪——你安然居住，心里说：‘只有我，除我以外再没有别的；我必不会寡居，也不会经历丧子之事。’——现在你要听这话：丧子和寡居这两件事必在一日之内突然临到你！你的法术再多，符咒再有威力，这两件事也必全然临到你！

因为他们追逼你所击打的人，议论你所击伤之人的痛苦。

祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！他们手中的杖就是我的愤怒。我要派遣他去攻击一个不敬虔的国家，吩咐他去攻打我所恼怒的子民，掳财掠货，践踏他们，如同践踏街道上的泥土。但这不是他所想的，也不是他的心思打算；他心里所怀的却是毁灭、剪除多国。

因为主所爱的人，主都管教；他所接纳的每一个儿子，他都鞭打。”对管教的事，你们要忍受；神对待你们，就像对待儿女那样。到底哪一个儿子不受父亲的管教呢？

看哪，你的仇敌喧嚣，恨你的人抬起了头！他们合伙密谋，对付你的子民；他们彼此商议，对付你所珍爱的人。他们说：“来吧！让我们将他们除灭，不再是一个国，使以色列的名不再被人记念。”他们同心商议，立约对付你。

安逸人的嘲笑和高慢人的藐视，我们实在受尽了。

她怎样炫耀自己、骄奢淫逸，你们也要照样给她折磨和悲伤，因为她心里说：‘我坐着女王的位子，我不是寡妇，绝不会经历悲伤。’为此，在一天之内她所受的灾害，就是死亡、悲伤和饥荒，就要来到。她将要在烈火中被烧掉，因为主、神——审判她的那一位是强有力的。”

耶和华啊，求你记住耶路撒冷遭难的日子，以东的子孙说过：“拆光！拆光！直到她的根基！”
