凡所行的，都不要發怨言，起爭論，使你們無可指摘，誠實無偽，在這彎曲悖謬的世代作神無瑕疵的兒女。你們顯在這世代中，好像明光照耀，將生命的道表明出來，叫我在基督的日子好誇我沒有空跑，也沒有徒勞。

所以我願意年輕的寡婦嫁人，生養兒女，治理家務，不給敵人辱罵的把柄。

若有人傳異教，不服從我們主耶穌基督純正的話與那合乎敬虔的道理，

若有人不聽從我們這信上的話，要記下他，不和他交往，叫他自覺羞愧。

耶穌說這話，他的敵人都慚愧了；眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事，就都歡喜了。

耶穌見他回答的有智慧，就對他說：「你離神的國不遠了。」從此以後，沒有人敢再問他甚麼。

那文士對耶穌說：「夫子說，神是一位，實在不錯；除了他以外，再沒有別的神；

有一個文士來，聽見他們辯論，曉得耶穌回答的好，就問他說：「誡命中哪是第一要緊的呢？」

你們因耶和華言語戰兢的人當聽他的話：你們的弟兄－就是恨惡你們，因我名趕出你們的，曾說：願耶和華得榮耀，使我們得見你們的喜樂；但蒙羞的究竟是他們！

耶穌說：「凱撒的物當歸給凱撒，神的物當歸給神。」他們就很希奇他。
